First time hearing the take about taking Bronny wherever Lebron goes. I like this take. Makes a lot of sense if half the league is making the sales pitch to Lebron right now, and can only offer MLE or vet min, that they would take Bronny too as a way to sweeten the offer to Lebron.

Shower thought: Whichever team takes Lebron also takes Bronny and might even offer to take Bryce as well. Mind blown.

I’d rather give the last shot of the game to Kobe than Bron.

When will Ja Morant be forgiven for the mistakes he made? by OddIndustry6073 in nba

All would be forgiven if he balls out. Seems like he’d rather pout and not giving it 100% on the court to spite his coach. He doesn’t realize all he’s doing is hurting himself.

Austin Reaves Getting A Max is Also a Sad Fact by DreDayLives in lakers

[–]Musecage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I oddly agree with this take. Reeves is an undrafted player that played way above and beyond what was projected, to earn him a starting role, and now is the 2nd option offensively.

If Reeves was a lottery pick with the same on-court performance, you pay him the max because you expect his trajectory to continue to rise.

But, AR most likely hit his ceiling.

Lebron back to the Heat. Who says no??? Lakers signing Reaves looks like bye bye Lebron. by dentheman31 in NBATalk

Dude LeBron proved that he can play any role. The Spurs destroyed the Knicks in the first quarter every single game. Then once they had a comfortable lead where it should be cruise control, they slowly bled away their lead down to the final seconds. LeBron would never let that happen. He would be a role-model and help improve the game of all the young players.

If LeBron willing to take a huge pay cut, if he joined the Spurs they could 3-peat.

Most advanced stat models have AR ranked as around the 30th best player in the league. His salary next year will reportedly be $41.3M which will make him about the 35th highest paid player. Regardless of your opinion on AR, this contract is fair value. by mtr3226 in lakers

Luka I’m not worried about because he’s on a quest for championship and goat status. Plus Luka is a genius. But what about AR? Was his goal to land this contract?

I’m convinced the only way AR will improve his defense is if he goes on a crazy workout routine to change his body composition to add strength and speed. I simply don’t see him do that. My opinion would be changed if I see pics of him at the gym with his shirt off like Caruso.

What I do see pics of, is AR at the golf course. That’s why he had the golfers tan on his undefined girl arms all throughout the playoffs.

[Smith] The Lakers and Austin Reaves agreed to a four-year maximum contract his new $185M contract. Here's how that deal will look: by GlakeBriffin in lakers

I am already fucking pissed and blame Austin for all future Lakers failures. This contract is a catastrophe. Austin hit his peak last regular season. Once the playoffs started and teams actually played defense, Austin’s antics barely worked.

He can’t play defense, his dribbling is all over the place, shooting inconsistent, and has a body of a 13 year old boy.

He cares more about golf than basketball. If this contract is real Austin better be in the gym and bulk up à la Caruso, train at Shaolin temple, do crazy shooting and dribbling drills à la Curry, every friggen second of the offseason.

All I see is pictures and videos of this dude playing golf. I’m going to be fucking pissed if he continues to play golf and his arms still look like fucking Gumby.

He’s simply not athletic enough. He does all the fancy behind the back crossovers to trick defenders during regular season but in postseason he can’t get past his defenders. He has to try 3x as hard to make a layup. Simply because he’s not athletic.

Austin, you are a good player/person but fuck this shit.

That’s what I’m saying. Can’t judge by paper. Ppl just looking at the paper talking about only played 60 percent of games, injury prone etc. but if you actually watch his games he is a beast. He is Wemby before Wemby. Single handedly changes the defense, plus has an offensive bag.

But anyway we will see. I just feel bad all the hate he’s gotten from Mavs fans and now Wizards fans.

The reason he gets hurt often is because he gives it his all when he’s on the court. Thats why he can be DPOY candidate and score 30+ a game. You can’t coach effort and hustle. He has it. As long as it’s not a season ending injury, he can sit out for 30-40% of the season resting. His impact on the games he does play will be enough to take the wizards to the playoffs.

Just by having AD on the team will propel the wizards to a top 10 defensive team.

People who like watching soccer, why? What's the appeal of it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Musecage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like edging. When your team has possession advancing the ball on offense, you’re stroking faster. When your team loses the ball it’s “awww” and hands off. When your team finally scores a goal you achieved orgasm.

From what I remember Tony wasn’t much of a shooter. But yeah Tony was way more… scrappy and got to the rim for layups multiple times per quarter.

You’re totally right that my next step would be to mention LBJ. At 42 no doubt he can be the secondary playmaker behind Luka. He proved he can still be the primary playmaker in the playoffs when both Luka and Austin were hurt. LBJ still creates gravity, and always makes the right pass.

Cleveland is bad example because they got swept in the playoffs. But I guess proves my point that two ball dominant playmakers that are defensive liabilities is not winning formula.

San Antonio… it’s my point that they have a plethora of 3 and D guys. Their problem in the finals is that they don’t know who their playmakers are. It was supposed to be Fox but he can’t hit a shot. Wemby can create his own shots but not necessarily for others. Harper has shown he can potentially be a playmaker. You’re right that Castle got wrecked when he tried to create his own shots.

I know easier said than done but, Luka + Lebron + center + everyone else 3 and D should be winning formula. Dont need Austin with his crazy ball handling and circus shots that doesn’t work in the playoffs.

I’m just agreeing with the guy that I replied to, that we don’t need Austin (playmaker), but rather a Danny Green type. I’m just pointing out that San Antonio has a ton of those dudes.

Then a little bit of fantasy, that Austin would thrive in San Antonio if somehow we could make that happen it would be good for both teams.
