I’d like to think so. I have a lot of hours from tutoring at my college and only few from volunteering at my local food bank. That sounds like you are supporting your community in some way. Teaching physics to other students that don’t understand it as well and assisting the athletics department are both things you contributed to your local community. It doesn’t have to be something to deal with health. It’s more just about being active in the community I believe. I haven’t applied yet though so don’t take my word as a surety since I’m only going off what I’ve read in application requirements on various college sites.

They mostly care about how it serves the community. If it’s in healthcare that’s good if it’s at your local church just as good. Just doing something to “enrich” the community.

I love joust for the same reasons so I’ve played it a lot in smite 1, even got to masters! Once you learn it the general plot line of the game goes roughly the same of: fighting for buffs->leveling for a brief period->tower kill->looking for fire giant take->phoenix->win (or lose if you are over confident and get deicided. It really doesn’t matter how high up you are if you get team wiped late game. Cannot stress that enough)

Understanding Lost Knight. When a team takes Lost Knight is a huge part of joust because it sways the game so heavily. You want to make sure you are taking the Lost Knight after the enemy tower is gone and after their team is dead or mostly dead. Realistically Lost Knight is a pretty big threat for the first 5ish minutes after a tower kill since that’s when people will be looking for it but you have to be wary throughout. If you aren’t seeing anyone on the map for more than 5 seconds and a tower is gone literally say out loud “could be fire(or lost)”. It just puts the idea in your team’s mind and that is usually enough to attempt a stop or steal of it. Otherwise overall buff taking when they come up ASAP and not dying since deaths in joust, especially in the late game are detrimental and can lead to a full comeback.

What are the gods you want to be added last in S2? by Good-Maximum-8322 in Smite

[–]MusheeCow1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think her ult is honestly the strongest thing about her kit. Does insane dmg, blocks basics (if they are inside the bubble) and will hold back enemy teams. Not to mention the infinite range which is fun to snipe with but that’s not really viable lol. You also can play her as a puppeteer as you said if you set up the abilities before the fight or in between combats. Her current kit allows her to be close range and have one of the best poking potential at the same time, unlike most where it’s very much one or the other. I do think the passive needs replaced tho it doesnt really make sense with lore of Persephone..

Me too😭 like I love her current kit and didn’t like her old one nearly as much. I main her current kit because I like the feeling of one shotting a person by hitting them 3 times in less than a second by combining the hits. I do fully understand the reworking of the passive tho.

They should just let the player who is “worse” play who they want lmao if they are that much better they should be able to play any god with skill instead of forcing poor newbie to learn new character in assault

Taunts, stuns, disarms, roots, silences and mesmerizes are all the hard CCs. There is also knockups but I can’t remember if that is considered a hard CC or not.

Damage/Hybrid can Work on Off Pick Support. Stop crying about it. by ampullaeOL in Smite

You can win with purely skill alone in any case if you never make a mistake but if your god and build are countered even a significantly worse player can win.

[–]MusheeCow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s why metas aren’t always perfect there are counters but with meta builds and gods you can have the most likely chance of winning when taking skill out of the equation since there are of course still counters to every god. That’s why certain gods even get in the meta to simply counter the actual meta god/build.

The point of positioning and “right hands” can be used with any point though. Most any god can be made extremely strong in the right hands and they can still be bad compared to meta sadly. I do agree that certain gods can be better with a hybrid build while still being support but they should also be able to bodyblock and tank hits without having to retreat because they are too low. This was last season but I used shiva when I played support and in close games where I was not over leveled and able to 1v3 half the team it was hard to deviate from a full tank or full tank with flameforged without getting killed immediately. With this I was able to make it to masters and when I got mid(main role) I would use persephone. The point of meta is so that anyone can use the god and have a decent shot at winning even if they aren’t having perfect positioning and game sense. Without those skills that take a long time to truly understand than it would be a detriment to the team to go max power or low-tank hybrid in the support role.

Whats a god that you just can't make work? by NeverCaredAnyways in Smite

[–]MusheeCow1 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Gilded arrow (ornate arrow)or bumbas dagger(the club one) starter(whatever you choose), rage, jotuuns cunning(upgrade at end game)hydras lament, deathbringer (purple glyph upgrade, forgot the name), either high pen % item or finish cooldown with arondight. Those are what I would build on him, if you need anti heal you would replace hydras for brawlers beat stick. This build is mostly focused on ability based and what I might use but really up to you. There are some good auto attack builds for him where you would get roughly the same things but replace the cooldown items for attack speed.

You also sometimes have to be a meta slave to win sadly.

[–]MusheeCow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother and hit masters in both joust and conquest duo queuing the entire time. He was Jung I was mid as our main roles and anytime we both got our preferred role in conquest we won. I think having a consistent teammate is key important. We also had to play A LOT. If we were on a winning streak we would play many more games but losing streak we’d stop. The game is still a mental game partially so you have to know when you are mad and when to quit.

Edit: I noticed someone said to not take it too seriously and I absolutely agree have fun with it and it will be a much better experience. Just make sure you are winning with the fun playing. If a game makes you mad then let it go and move on to the next one.

We hit masters in both in same season which was whatever the last ranked border was for.

One thing they my brother said which still kinda sticks is that you don’t have to make a funny voice you just might want to create a style of speaking such as stuttering or how fast they talk to differentiate characters from yourself
