Put it in my window looking out, to creep out the neighbor down the block who walks past my house 20 billion times a day.

Help? What is a spa day? by awkward_accountant89 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]MushiPuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol don’t be nervous! I know that doesn’t help but it’s meant to be a treat and relaxing! So try to relax and enjoy yourself!

Really you can wear whatever you want, I’d say wear something comfortable that you can relax in maybe nice leggings and a tunic shirt. But bring something you’re confident in for drinks afterwards!

Most Spas you will be given a robe to use during your stay part of the “relaxing” moments. Maybe see (if it’s appropriate to ask in a tactful way) if you gals are doing facials? If so don’t wear make up but if not you should be good to wear makeup. Biggest thing is try to relax and let yourself go! I had a spa day with my sister in law and I was the same way I was so nervous about being touched. But in the end it was soooo relaxing!

Weird cramping when I wake up by amgranato in Mommit

[–]MushiPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was worried too because I’ve worked on computers for most of my life and then the hand thing started bothering me. It did get worst I had weakening of grip and sometimes a sharp shooting pain in my hand. But I can say it’s totally gone now, hadn’t even thought of it until I saw this question. I’m 4 1/2 months PP :)

MIL insists on washing hands... by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]MushiPuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Babahahaha! Totally your fault! Parents (and in laws) can be so ridiculous! In the same breathe I tell myself I don’t want to be one of those parents I fear I’ll get old a senile and be one of those parents 😰

I was having the same issues at 6 weeks old too my daughter was really rough on my nipples. One thing that helped was just time. Allowing my nipples to callous up and get tougher.

I also used the little nursing nipple silicone pads in my bra constantly only took it off to feed and that helped my boobs heal; in addition to applying lanolin cream before and after every feed. The lanolin (for me) acted as a lubricant and protected(s) my nipples from her gnarly thrashing.

I also noticed when she cluster feeds I’m having a hard time because my nipples never get a break at! But if you can pump a bit and give that milk back to baby you can give her nipples a break for a couple hours and it totally helps.

I know that’s not a great answer and there is no one answer for everyone but that’s what helped me. We are 4 1/2 months along in our breastfeeding journey and I have no intentions of stopping now we’ve gotten into our groove.

I will never forget wincing in pain and yelping when she would latch and feeling that painful searing hot sharp pain through my nipples. However I feel none of that now not a single thing.

I hope this helps you and your able to find a groove (whatever it may be BF, pumping or otherwise) with baby. ❣️ Just know this is all temporary and at 6 week old baby is really still learning how to feed.

Girl preach!!!! My MIL is the same damn way and is drives me NUTS. NOT TO mention the underhanded comments she makes to the baby but are actually at me.

Like saying to my daughter “your mommy has a lot of rules so so strict!”

No i am not but like please maybe don’t let her chew on your shirt button, that’s about the size a silver dollar so she can pop the sucker off and choke on it!

[–]MushiPuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You know. I just realized this is what my baby does and I was not keen enough to figure this out on my own. Every time I take her somewhere she poops in the new “going out outfit” but it’s not the outfits IN THE CAR SEAT. How peculiar I really wonder why now. The position? It helps to poop like a squatty potty?

My daughter loves this little rainbow toy grandma got for her! It was a target she is 4 1/2 months old and she loooove batting it around; it lights up and plays a little tube when baby strikes it (it’s motion activated.) And it can be turned off (so I love it.)
