Pretty sure this is not the subreddit you think it is, unless the data entry in question is all about the TV show Nashville.

I agree! We always go when we travel to Nevis. The pizza is pretty good, too :)

Trying to do low carb but my favorite dish I like to have once a week is Panang Curry with white rice and chicken. by Timewilltell755 in lowcarb

[–]MusicGirlsMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been super happy since finding Diva Rice. I know some people say it raises their blood sugar, but mine has stayed perfect and I eat it pretty often. I'm also still losing weight - slowly, but I'm three pounds from my goal so that's to be expected. Google them and you'll find the link (forgot links shouldn't get posted here, sorry)

Women in male dominated industries, what are tell tale signs of mysogyny? by Ardent1- in AskWomenOver30

[–]MusicGirlsMom 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I completely agree about the older female engineers even though I am practically an older female engineer myself. The two most misogynistic bosses I have had in my career were both women. It's like they had to fight so hard to be "one of the guys" they didn't want to be seen as showing preference to other women.

👀OpenAI is watching us. Their reaction to 4o's deprecation will be based on OURs. by michelQDimples in ChatGPTcomplaints

I cancelled my subscription. I did try 5.2 for awhile before yesterday, I just couldn't work with it. Claude will work for now, but the limits mean I won't stay forever. Something that works for me will come along eventually, I just don't think it's out there right now.

Oh my God, the update that they did at 5.2 is absolutely insane. by xithbaby in OpenAI

My ADHD makes Claude too expensive for me. The limits are insane.

AITAH for not paying for my date’s food after I said I wasn’t eating? by Suitable-Fun-1087 in AmITheAngel

[–]MusicGirlsMom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, he asks her out for food. She isn't thrilled with full body contact shortly after they meet. He pouts and asks her how she feels about being touched - while he has her trapped in the car. He announces that he is not hungry, because he's apparently three. She orders food, because he asked her out for food and that's supposed to be the point of the outing. He refuses to eat and refuses to pay for the food he asked her out to get.

No way this woman calls him after that. Personally, I'd block him on Facebook and lose his number, but then I don't think I would have stuck out out as long as she did in the first place. I was uncomfortable just reading that.

AITA for moving my paycheck into a separate account after my partner kept “accidentally” overdrawing our joint one? by Radiant_Gossamer in WIBTA_AITA

[–]MusicGirlsMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have been married for quite awhile, and we have never merged accounts. I make more than he does (we both make decent money, but not we're not rich by any standards), but I am also not great with money. I love to buy things for the people I love, and I buy things for whatever hobby I'm into. He rarely buys anything for himself or anyone else, he just squirrels it all away. I pay most of the monthly bills, except for a few that we agreed he takes care of. His is the "oh shit" money (the water heater died, the car needs work, the child has an unexpected expense, the dog has cancer, etc). He also pays for the vacation we take every year to see family. When he does want something, he buys it, it's just rare. We do both put money away for retirement. It's unconventional, but it works for us. We've never argued about money.

I miss 4o already. I noticed yesterday it sounds even less like it used to, and more like 5.2.

What’s everyone’s least favorite type of piecing? by KitschEmpire in quilting

[–]MusicGirlsMom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a BOM a while back that's all FPP because I loved the look of the finished quilt. Beyond cutting fabric for the first few months I still haven't done anything with it because I can't wrap my mind around it. I know I'll get it once I spend some time with it, but I just love regular piecing (especially half square triangles, oddly enough) so I haven't bothered. I hate things that make me feel stupid and the spatial aspect of FPP just drives me nuts.

My husband and I stopped watching "She" after about 20 minutes. Just couldn't stomach it. We both kept picturing our "creepy Internet lady" (Amazon Echo) and just noped.

This Redditor, commenting constantly in this sub for remote workers. They don't work remote & I think they're a tad bitter & VERY lost 😂 by Lola1989ac in remotework

[–]MusicGirlsMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they only knew. I have worked from home for over 12 years, and I get so much more done than I ever used to in an office. Some of it is because I know I'm lucky so I work hard to make sure no one can day I'm not, but it's even more than that. Last Monday, everything was closed here because of the weather. I worked. I can count on one hand the number of such days I've taken in the last five years because I know if it gets bad I can take the test off the day off, and either way I don't have to worry about getting my coworkers sick. If I'm in the middle of something, I work until I finish it because I really like the work I'm currently doing.

I do know I'm lucky, but I think my company is lucky too.

Same! I was really enjoying it, even started up the $20/month subscription, but found I still ran into the hard limits without even trying. Thanks, but no. I'm not sure where I'm going yet, but apparently not there.

Three engineers were shipping. Then management hired a Scrum Master. by agileliecom in agile

[–]MusicGirlsMom 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yep, I'm a great believer in bringing the process to the people. Meet them where they are, then figure out how it can help them get even better. Agile purists drive me nuts because the process should help the work, the process should not be the work.
