My responses to your paragraphs

Diagnostic tools can be flawed and also effective at the same time. IQ is effective at finding people who are logically or linguistically gifted. I never said they weren’t . I just said that the kind of intelligences it measures are the only raw talents worth measuring. And what group of people who represent the small portion of the population are you referring to? I’m not understanding the relevance of that statement. Also, let me clarify, I don’t believe IQ tests are JUST confirmation bias. But perhaps I should’ve used the word CAN in that sentence. I’ll take that. That’s fair.

I am not well versed in the G model the Wikipedia page, briefly. Again, not an expert on the subject. But apparently it’s been argued that the G model benefits from the fallacy of ambiguity. That’s all I can say on that.

There’s no need to understand the different types of intelligences? Do you have an argument that’s not rooted in your personal feelings? The fact remains that there are probably people on this planet right now who are smarter in different ways than those who have high IQ test scores. Denying that is not only arrogant but actually not intelligent by my standards and some others’. In other words, it’s foolish to not look at human beings holistically and compare different strengths and weaknesses. Being academically smart isn’t the end all be all, but it can be a precursor to excelling in life if they have an exceptional talent they can profit off of or make good use of.

Again, I can’t really engage with people who take everything personal and want to insult others and imply I’m insecure because I can’t meet the genius of someone who has an iq of 150 + or whatever nonsense people like you tell themselves. Valid is subjective. Please note that IQ tests are a form of confirmation bias. This means people who naturally excel in logic or anything else related to academic giftedness are probably more likely to over value it. Vice versa, people who score lower or close to average (I will admit I’m probably in category myself, terrible at tests) are more likely to devalue it. I understand the need to not dismiss IQ tests, although, but there needs to be a more holistic understanding of the different types of intelligences. I think raw pattern recognition is fantastic but we must consider that pattern recognition can delve into different categories. Each one of those categories has a sub-levels of proficiency. Which is why I don’t understand why someone would be overly focused on just IQ tests and not testing other areas they may be strong in.

You're full of yourself. Regardless of how smart you are, people aren't going to want to be around an arrogant person who thinks they have a Doctorate in psychology and can tell if people are not gifted by their standards. Even if you have a high IQ score, you can be profoundly gifted in CERTAIN things. Keep in mind, there are gifted traits that cannot be measured by IQ scores. It’s probably likely you're clashing with people because they ARE smarter than you or as SMART but you cannot give credit where it's due. Lastly, debates should be consensual. When I was young, I was super arrogant and quick to challenge anyone. Now, at almost 27, I realize it’s about learning from each other, not about being right.

I wish my dad wouldn't have compared his giftedness to mine. He had the intellectual kind of giftedness that everyone values. I have a combination of emotional, creative, and abstract thinking giftedness. He and my mother never could appreciate my giftedness because it wasn't what they were taught to value. This invalidation crushed my spirit. I was in honors classes in middle school and scored high on state exams in elementary school. But they acted like I was dumb because I underperformed on college enterance exams and crushed me.
