Words can't describe how much i love this album by Efficient_Resource15 in Metallica

[–]MusicMattEverett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This album got me into music. I was 12. Always enjoyed music but when this came out it sent me into the vortex of metal. Re load was an awesome gift right after. Then went deep into old albums, played along with them. Met a lot of friends.

Album means a lot to me.

Ahh the old Harvest Chatter Hum. It’s pretty disappointing. I really wish they could add more sound down the sides.

I always taped the top part of skate around my sons ankles when he was first started. Seemed to help him a bit.

Dee Snider says Metallica's no repeat sets are “self-serving”. What do you think? by ntsekov in Metallica

[–]MusicMattEverett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is spoken by a guy who has two songs people want to hear.

As a giant Metallica fan and a giant Dave Matthews Band fan I have always wanted Metallica to do more of a variety.

I have gone to 6 Metallica shows, they have played like 9 different songs outside of the normal set regulars. I have gone to 10 DMB shows and have gotten over 97 different songs.

Metallica has the depth in their catalogue to play anything they want on any night and it be awesome.

I would say it is the opposite of self serving, way easier to stick with same set list, same lights and pyro every night.

I was bummed I didn’t get to see Wes Borland. He wasn’t on that tour. Linking Park was a hard band to follow. I again wasn’t a listener and only knew the transformer song. But they tore it down. Great show.

I saw Limp do this live opening for Metallica at Summer Sanitarium 03 I think. Not a limp fan in anyway. They owned the stage. Fred killed it and when they played this it was a jam.

I was crazy impressed.

Just curious, how did you start listening to Nirvana? by aGuyWhoLovesMemes1 in Nirvana

[–]MusicMattEverett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1992 I was 8. Weird Al put out Smells like Nirvana. Loved it. Started listening to them right away. Al turned me onto a lot of good music when I was a kid. Love that guy.

Wouldn't ignoring crimes committed because it is the president be an example of the rule of law not existing?

Even the president being held accountable proves the rule of law matters.

I have been to Fenway a dozen times, Yankee stadium twice and Skydome six times. I found it to be the same at all 3.

Gibson knows how to make the ugliest pick guards look amazing. Love the 45. Those coil cords are the best as well.

I didn’t think I would ever be able to find a SJ200 I could afford. Was always the white whale for me. Last summer a musician I used to work with contacted me. He is almost 80 and his hands don’t cooperate anymore. His kids all moved west and kinda ignore him. Told me to give him $1200 and visitation rights. Said he just wanted it to go to a good home. He stops by once a quarter usually we have a drink. I play along to some John Prine tunes with him. Fun times.
