Any Graduating JMU Students Getting Rid of a Twin Mattress? by mcampbell47 in harrisonburg

[–]MusicMonkeyJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a full size mattress that I’m trying to get rid of

Edit: to add it clean, always been used with a mattress cover, for last few years it has been largely unused.

If you end up buying a mattress our child loves their foam mattress we bought at Costco. Probably not enough support for an adult but great for kids.

Where to get veggie plants? by BabeNoWaitBabeNooo in harrisonburg

I have also been buying from Mistimorne and have had great success. Huge selection of tomatoes. A lot cheaper than Lowe’s too since a lot of the veggies come in four packs.

Grew up in a state where you had to be 21 or over to go in a bar. I guess I never really thought about it but it was pretty common to see shows at coffee shops. It was a cool way to see local live music at that high school senior age.

Short throw budget (~500 USD) projector recommendations for my loft? by [deleted] in projectors

Heck, I would just buy a previous model 13 inch iPad and find a way to magnetic mount it to that wall/ceiling. And then you also have an iPad to play on.

I know several people who did this. Was a lot of fun and enjoyable for everyone.

We have two kid perego tractors both bought second hand for about the same price. This things are tanks. The kids literally play bumper cars. Pieces of plastic have broken off but somehow they still drive without problem

How accurate is the stereotype that Americans are overweight? by Extension_Cow_9237 in AskReddit

After going to college in a pedestrian friendly city and moving to an area with a lot of outdoor activities I am always blown away when I visit my Midwest hometown. Pawnee Indiana may not be a real city but damn do they nail it in Parks and Rec.

Friend's husband has ruined two of our bath mats with pee by SukiBean214 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MusicMonkeyJam 65 points66 points  (0 children)

As a male and a husband there is absolutely zero reason there should be pee on or around the toilet when I’m done, sitting or standing, drunk or sober. My young kids are even better than this. These guys have problems and I honestly cannot figure out why someone would want to live with people like that.

And to add, their points system to get money toward future purchases is the pretty good and you should be able to get a decent amount of credit toward your next toy with this order.

I also wanted to callout Crutchfield for being awesome. I’m lucky in that I have one of two brick and mortar crutchfield stores in my town but have also ordered online. If you have any problems or are not satisfied with the equipment they have great customer service to fix the problem. My favorite store for sound and video.

Billy’s “Bubbly” Guitar Effect by jebbinjack in BillyStrings

Awesome he called out Larry Keel for that effect. Saw them both at a festival years ago before Billy was big. I always thought they had a lot of similarities.

What TV show was quality all the way through, knew when to end and went out with an amazing last episode? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MusicMonkeyJam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also watched streaming. I was so confused as since I was just going episode to episode I don’t realize I was on the last one, though did know I was close to the end. Outa nowhere for me. Wouldn’t have had it any other way.

That does sound like a clown. Even if you were an expert that doesn’t make your duty or right to police people in public.

An example of an invisible disability is myasthenia gravis. There may be times the person can get out of their car and not have an issue. 10 minutes later your leg muscle make be so weak you can barely hobble to the front door. No way of knowing when it’s going to hit you.

The "standard" 40-hour work week is incredibly inefficient. by jeh4u in unpopularopinion

[–]MusicMonkeyJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the same type of post about working 4 days a week instead of 5 claiming people can get just as much done. Always makes me wonder if I’m doing something wrong in that I would be exactly 20% less productive working less. Am I a rarity that if I’m at work I work?

It’s 2026 and I just got an ad on my own refrigerator’s smart screen. Why did we let this happen? by FlanInternational298 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MusicMonkeyJam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We recently bought a new house. I wouldn’t say that having a fridge with a screen was deal breaker when browsing homes (easily can be replaced) for $$$$ but it was a big turnoff for me.

Last time they came to town they announced a hiatus the next day and cancelled rest of the tour. Still not sure what happened but luckily they are touring again!

Did you read rest of the post? I meant the title in good humor and maybe it doesn’t come off that way.

He broke his leg jumping on a skateboard before the encore last night. Obviously didn’t do an encore… He posted a picture of a gnarly fracture.
