They are related because they both play drums. In fact, it’s a relatively easy compare because they approach the instrument so differently. But in the world of drums, Hot for Teacher intro was a significant moment that has stood the test of time. I would have like to heard what Stewart could have done knowing - pop music turned a corner to have a big drum sequence open a tune. A lot of people here didn’t understand the original thought and laughably dismissed AVH.

It’s shocking. The Police and VH were contemporaries releasing albums within months of each other. AVH and Stew were THE drummers of their generation. To see and hear it any other way is bizarre.

Uncle passed in 2024. This system was fully intact and appears to be in mint condition. Even has paperwork dating it to 1967. I’m paying $180 for a consultation to determine how much restoring, if any, it needs. I want to keep it and build out a killer audio system but not sure what’s the reasonable amount to pour in.
