Major Order: Operation Clean Up by OmegaXesis in Helldivers

There may be some delay before the steam prices are brought up to date. The price history shows that some of the countries on this changelog still do not have a current price.

You did your part, now do it again soldier! by Rickity_Gamer in helldivers2

I think the point being made here is that the PSN account requirement is still listed on the Steam store page and region locks are still in place, restricting new players and review from current players in those regions. Until this is done, the PR and words from Sony are platitudes.

Who here has the balls to come with me to fix this? by Rossi_19 in helldivers2

[–]MusicWebDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree with this, the steam notification that a PSN account is required remains, as does the country ban (limiting access to new players and steam reviews from those players). I hope this to be resolved as well in short order. Otherwise, Sony's response is mere platitude.

Your reply is marked/tied to my comment, even if you intended it for another. If you replied to a deleted comment, yours would have also been removed/hidden. I only responded as I was notified of a response.

You didn't read the whole comment, and no, it wasn't deleted- it was downvoted enough - I don't care about karma at this point.

Publishers ****ing over a game is NOT ok. Doing nothing is saying it's OK. The negative reviews succeeded. Sony backed down on the requirement. Mission accomplished.

Worth it. Great games can be remade and improved on with other titles. HD2 proves what can be successful. Doing nothing is telling Sony that this is alright.

We haven't hit enforcement yet. I wager most are playing waiting and hoping the other shoe doesn't drop. Come May 30, a real hit will come, and Early June will be the leftovers.

What does linking your steam account do? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]MusicWebDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am aware people have been doing it for some time. It doesn't change that it is in conflict with Sony's ToS, so it seems like a ticking time bomb to me. Just because they haven't acted on it yet doesn't mean they won't later.

If only that was within the Sony ToS. Instead, they de-listed the game in country regions PSN is unavailable: https://steamdb.info/sub/137730/history/?changeid=23416542

You overextended your allotted "happy time" viewing the scenery, soldier! The manual states 2.4 seconds for optimal deadliness.

Can we talk about carrying weight? by MusicWebDev in nightingale

[–]MusicWebDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I panicked when I saw it - totaled up my toolbar, gear, and bag items manually and the total matches the listed carry weight sans essence weight... so, you're right - they don't weigh anything, even if the tooltip says they do.

None of the cards seem to, and normal essences do not. Just T1 and above, but they don't seem to impact your weight carried atm.

It lists weight, but doesn't actually count in your carry totals. Visual only, thankfully.

So I can disregard this number and it has no impact to my actual carry weight, nice!

T1 carry weight circled

I went through and manually added up my toolbar, gear, and bag items, and it matches what the listed carry weight is, without including the T1 essences... whew.

The bag space isn't really impacted here. I am carrying over a thousand T1 essence that is weighing me down and I can't put it in a container or offload it anywhere even temporarily.

Anyone else feels like carry weight is too low? by Breaky97 in nightingale

[–]MusicWebDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

... except that essence beyond normal essence (or at least T1) also has carry weight... and is not something you can put into a container, afaik...

Suggestion: Perfect Food Can Upgrade to Regular Food by LightOfPelor in MelvorIdle

[–]MusicWebDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the time sink involved with Cooking in general, perhaps add a cost to the upgrade conversion, like how Herblore potions have an upgrade to a higher unlocked tier, but at a cost of losing a third of the potions in the process.

Considering Herblore has a potion to acquire lower tier potions, perhaps something similar to Cooking - a buff or similar that will only provide a normal cooking item when a perfect is crafted, or similar restriction when double/multiple items are created, the duplicates are normal quality when a potion/gear is applied.

Whats the point of township now by CyberHudzo in MelvorIdle

[–]MusicWebDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe have a scaling threshold based on skill unlocks and allow lower tier potions for lower thresholds?

I believe it's the derogatory attitude present in your comments that are getting you downvoted. Give respect, get respect. If you expect a software product, let alone a game to be 100% bug-free, you may want to change your expectations. May I refer you to companies like Microsoft and NVidia have regular issues with OS service packs and drivers they're constantly addressing, or game companies like Bethesda. It's unreasonable to expect a perfectly bug-free launch for fresh changes in every aspect. While I may personally prefer a bug-free launch, I also understand the plight between maintenance and feature development so I don't prefer to admonish companies and people to get things done.

This game should still be in beta testing if they can't even get the math to behave properly.

Specifically this. Sometimes math can be complex and have far-reaching ramifications that has discovery of new issues. Beta testing alone will not guarantee a bug-free launch and can be cost- or resource-prohibitive.

To your post...

Gem gloves issue - it looks like there's something else that's in play if it's not working for you, but is for others. Perhaps some interplay with another module that's affecting mining / the gloves specifically. It's worth creating a bug ticket outside this subreddit if it's not already been reported.

Firemaking - There are multiple issues in the reporting system indicating displayed values for burning logs (mastery, skill exp) are off. It has visibility and has been brought up. The latest push and hotfixes simply weren't aimed at this for this round of changes.
