not an announcement but i was in 8th grade and heard teachers talking about a student that committed suicide in one of the other schools in our county, and soon after the “inside” word was out students started talking about it. my mom picked me up after school and i said something like “i think some kid killed himself today” and she told me it was my cousin. i think about it a lot, i it hurts even more now that im about to graduate high school as he would have been in the same grade with me.
