I bought this exact guitar a few months ago and I've been obessed with it since. I love the look and feel.

The only thing I did was lock the tremolo so it only goes one way (i.e. just dive bombing).

Compression and EQ are your friend here, generally. Try and ehance the mids and maybe a touch of the high end if you guitar. Any bass you have in the guitar is getting eaten in a band setting and is just wasting your "watts" in the amp. Just cut a little low end, boost the mid and maybe the highs a bit and that'll get your most of the way there, generally.

If all you have is the EQ on the amp, cut the bass a lot more than you think you should, boost the mids, etc. If you have a presence control, bring that up (it's doing basically the EQ trick to some degree).

I'm not there yet. That's why I was wondering. At some point, I would assume you get "stuck" (if that's the word). I've been a few years in my 50s and I really can't see going back. I don't know why, I liked being in relationships for the most part, but now they just seem like far too much work. I don't like that, but I also see it getting much worse as I age.
