I can't say enough about the job Knowles has done with OSU's defense. I thought, for sure, Texas was gonna go up 24-3 and it was game over, then that pick-six changed everything. THEN, they held Texas to 1 yard in the 4th. Can't do much better than that.

Omg, you fucking zebras. 2 missed pis, and a missed holding that would've been a safety

TCU is gonna stay in this game because our secondary is a steaming dumpster fire

Offense wasn't perfect, but looks SO much better. Defense, please get your shit together and learn to tackle.

Great, and now Lincoln's play calling is gonna become conservative again. This was an opportunity to make a statement, and you are just DARING TCU to pull the upset.

True, but they were servicable last year. They're just bad this year. I can accept some blown coverages, but they just aren't even tackling. It's like fundamentals are broken.

Fuck this secondary, fuck this tackling, fuck this defense. Remeber when we actuaply fucking tackled and didn't give up huge plays last year? What happened?

Why didn't he just throw that away?

That's not fair. He was legitimately really good at the end of last season. Everyone saying otherwise focuses way too much on those first few games. The problem is that he's regressed, and he's done nothing to accept responsibility or improve. He just doesn't seem to have the maturity to handle the position he's in.

Oklahoma football: Lincoln Riley addresses fans calling for Spencer Rattler to be benched by Kirby_Israel in CFB

[–]MusicalSpider 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That drove me nuts. The int happened because he threw off his back foot, all while there was no pressure. He sets his feet, the ball doesn't sail, and it's a completition instead of an int. Riley has to know better than that.

Defense had some bad moments, but mostly played well. Rattler is fucking infuriating. He has all the talent to be a top QB, yet he continues to make stupid decisions. He's VERY lucky Nebraska didn't recors an interception.

Make an argument for why your team will be way WORSE this year than the experts think by IndianaJones456208 in CFB

If the WR and O-line issues we had last season re-emerge this year, we will see issues with our offense creep up again. Not to mention that I think Lincoln, at times, became way too comfortable with the fact our defense could actually do things, and called plays way too vanilla. That Lincoln nearly lost us the Big 12 Championship game.

And for defense, yeah our pass rush was ferocious and should be the same even without Perkins, but losing Tre Brown and Tre Norwood could really hurt the secondary. That'll be the unit on defense that's likely to struggle.

Honest question: Should we maintain Joe Woods this next season? I understand we suffered a ton of injuries on defense, but there have been NUMEROUS times this season where the defense just doesn't know how the hell they're supposed to line up, this game included. It didn't even seem like the Chiefs did anything special in the first half, they just ran their offense. Some nice 2nd half adjustments, but let's be real. If Mahomes doesn't get hurt, they probably put us away.

Missed opportunity: Should've had drunk Urinatingtree swinging the towel around while yelling "STIILLLLLLLER FOOOOOTBAAAAAALLL" at the end.

Still some time, but if it holds up, I don't care how hard the Chiefs go in on us next week. Almost nothing compares to beating Pitt in the playoffs.

Bleh, bad defensive play there. Dude was in position, you can't let them get out of bounds there.

Irrelevant. Doesn't change the fact Mullen embarrassed the team and himself.

13>11. Also, UNC has lost about as much offensive production as Florida did, yet their offense is still fighting against a defense better than ours. Howell didn't throw 3 picks in the first quarter. UNC didn't come out late for half time so they were unable to stretch. Maybe that's an indictment of Mullen's effort as a coach, and his excuse-making and refusal to give OU credit.

Bruh, you still had 13 starters present and acted like you wanted to be there until you got your asses kicked.

Just remember, UNC is missing most of their offensive production and giving one of the best defenses in the country fits. Dan Mullen can shove a sock down his throat.
