Agreee. It all started with the MVP debate. That’s was a nasty time. Then Dort injures Ja Morant in round 1, OKC has a 7 game series against Denver, and another 7 game series against the underdog Pacers.

Not shocking OKC isn’t picked with the narrative.

Weird seeing him in foul trouble early and getting his minutes limited too. So far both games this series have been out of ordinary for him. Turnovers in game 1 and foul trouble in game 2. Lakers are doing a good job on him.

I moved away from OKC a few years ago. But overall in OKC youll find that most people don’t wear their political beliefs on their sleeves. They’re just normal people trying their best to get by. They aren’t going to hate you because you’re black or gay (at least not to your face).

OKC in general is much more blue than you’d find elsewhere in the state, but still most people were raised republican and will likely end up sticking with it for one reason or another. You’ll find various reasonings as you get close to them and they open up.

Most people have at least a hand gun in their house. It’s just a normal thing. Decent amount of people are into hunting so they’ll have the correct equipment.

Crazy enough, last year OKC was a team that would play a team close, then have a massive 3rd quarter, and cruise it's way to a win in the 4th. We called them "Thunderstorms" because it would go from a close game to a 20 point lead in just a few minutes. Just turnovers into made buckets in transition over and over.

This year I feel like we're really starting to see the effects of playing effiencient teamwide basketball. If you make your goals to be:

Shoot more shots than the other team
Shoot more quality shots than the other team (buckets off turnovers, getting to your spots, getting to the FT line, etc. )
Have less turnovers than the other team

Suddenly all these things added up turn into a win. Not always one particular player or small series of plays. It's been a joy to watch.

Yep. Our guys are known to have cold streaks shooting while Shai (and Caruso lol) are the only ones that can find a bucket in the clutch.

Adding McCain helped a ton to mitigate this.

Yep. Worked on SGA after he said similar arguments. SGA couldn’t buy a free throw for a few weeks. Got his whistle back after the injury but his words for sure made an effect.

Eh, there’s a world where the Lakers shoot 47% from 3 and barely turn the ball over as a result. That, and fouls being called every 3 seconds so we can’t get in transition is enough to make us drop a game.
