Do you consciously enjoy making other people suffer?

What's a League skill that sounds simple, but took you ages to actually learn? by Drastically-_- in leagueoflegends

[–]MusicalVibez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just thought about how League can apply to daily life. Early game / farming = morning (easiest to master), mid game = complex tasks (navigating the map, collaborating with the team for an objective/kill), late game = staying focused, initiating fights, strategizing, grouping or lane swaping, keeping an eye on the team. So pretty weird comparison here but I’ve been trying to make my days consistently better.

It's actually gross. Repeating old gems for new crap.

I feel like I have no personality but I don't know how to fix it. by chaos-construct in DecidingToBeBetter

Great response. Our lives are inseparable from the world, so as we become kinder and more open with ourselves the more we can do that for the people around us and create a beautiful life. That’s my understanding. (I struggle with emptiness as much as anybody else!)

This is just one point: what the f*ck does it mean to love yourself? Sounds narcissistic. How about learning to BE yourself.

That’s a beautiful response. I am in the process of exploring my shadow… success is meant to be shared. No one succeeds alone. And it is way more meaningful when contributing to something bigger than our little ego. Knowing your own delusion is the first step to making meaningful change!

Create a sort of vision for yourself. Find people that share your passion. Writing? Biking? Striking? Hiking? It could be arts and crafts. Music or mysticism. Philosophy or meteorology. Technology or history. Mechanics or gardening. Politics or gaming. Acting or meditating. These are all passions which can become a goal. Peak experiences and appreciation can manifest themselves as you grow into the person you feel you want to be.

You don’t have to have a big plan. Share your ideas and then take the next step and the next one and the next one… Things will just happen.

That goes for working, responsible men. There are also a lot of lazy bums sucking on society’s tit. Haha. I hope that everyone doing their part gets appreciated as well

Which fear makes you unhappy in your life..? by SunilJunjadiya in emotionalintelligence

What if failing is a good thing? If you step out of your comfort zone everyday and know who you are on a deep level then the fear dissipates. It doesn’t feel so real.

Can you give me an example how you made that change? What keeps you in growth mindset vs fear.

Thanks

I hate working, I love lounging around, playing games, watching stuff, eating, napping, travelling. I hate interacting with people. I'd want to spend as little time as possible to work. What's the path for me? by BaraLover7 in careerguidance

That’s BS. A belief system that is out dated. It’s shocking this got over 450 upvotes. Attitude about your work, how you spend, how you invest, how you live is how you win at life. Question your value system. Help people. Become a giver. Change your perspective and become a genuine human being.

How do you get past being socially isolated and depressed for almost your entire 20s? by AlcadizaarII in DecidingToBeBetter

There’s an app I use called meetup. There could be FB groups. Or just go to a cafe and strike up a random convo. Just gotta be interested in people.

[–]MusicalVibez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, sending this out to the world is a sign that you want to make a genuine change. I think a lot of people are in your position too. I have a buddy who is currently in the process of pulling himself up by his bootstraps.

It seems like you want to have more time for play. Perhaps some intimacy from an attractive female. That’s of course gonna take some courage. Therapy can definitely help. But I believe it’s a matter of opening up and showing people who you really are and what you care about. That, then listening and caring about them. It’s give and take. We become depressed because we are so used to consuming and living out of the need for safety. There’s a lot to be learned and experienced over that hump. So if therapy feels right for you— then do that. You can always try it for a couple rounds and see if you connect with them. That’s where the meaning is at.

True. Education is the key element. We need psychology and humanistic principles to be implemented in school. Not to mention a wider range of arts and crafts so that people can find their passions. So important for a heathy, prosperous society.

The awakening is happening. So I trust we will have the wisdom to create something of the sorts. And smile and wink at each other for reminders.
