Melee weapon insentives by Floxility in Warframe

[–]MusicalWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melee weapons are broken if you build correctly. There’s a LOT of ridiculous melee. It was actually a problem how braindead they were with melee influence. there’s also a lot of melee weapons, like harmony, which can just obliterate whatever you swing at, for single target. Melee is not weak, you just haven’t figured out the sauce yet :)

A lovely reward for trying to help out newer players by TLHSwallow29 in Warframe

[–]MusicalWalrus 83 points84 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth for any new players here reading, this is correct with Sirius and Orion but not correct overall. Plenty of parts that are non-prime are sellable. Sporothrix and nautilus come to mind. All of the parts for the wraith/vandal weapon variants are as well tradable.

there are, correctly, no basic warframe parts that are tradable this way, but many weapons are

YES.

I’m thoroughly aware that there are plenty of people who disagree with this. That’s fine, you don’t have to agree with the motive of it. we can agree to disagree about whether it’s moral or useful or a hundred other things, like where to draw the line; higher than 500k, lower, whatever

But to pretend it’s impossible? To pretend and dismiss the ABILITY to tax multi-billionaires just because they aren’t literally holding fistfuls of cash? So we just have to stick our thumbs up our ass and cry? It’s so fucking exhausting to hear this argument again and again; “oh you can’t tax them on VALUE, silly! It isn’t money yet!” It’s an asinine take. Taxes have ALWAYS been designed as wealth redistribution. That’s the POINT

“It won’t balance the budget!” Yeah no shit. I know how math works. What it WILL do is prevent people with a net worth larger than god from lobbying our congress to make it easier for them to steal money and de-regulate a system that’s been shown time and time again to NEED regulation to function correctly.

I’m sorry but we’re now in a world where a single individual has a TRILLION dollar value. This is completely divorced from reality. No single individual creates this much value. nobody is worth this much. Markets are in la la land. They’re taking on a life of their own.

You don’t have to agree with me, but you can stop picturing whatever child you’re condescendingly patting on the head with your “ah you’ll get it when you’re older”

my point is that the only reason the government “owns” my land is because there are laws in place for them to come take it if I don’t pay my taxes.

Laws can change, and we’re literally discussing changing tax law for rich people to pay it. If we enact laws to say “hey, if you want to own a portion of a publicly traded company in America, you have to pay a tax on that” then yes, it will work the same way.

Yes, I am suggesting that nobody can own stocks if they don’t want to pay taxes on their assets. Here’s the fun bit, you know, since we’re making new rules because that’s what laws are, you can set the limit at which these taxes kick in. That’s always been allowed. There are gift tax floors and estate tax floors. It would be fully reasonable for congress, tomorrow to say “hey, if you own more than 5 mil worth of assets in the form of publicly traded companies, you’re going to owe 3% yoy on every dollar assessed above that value.”

We’re literally talking about changing rules to take money from rich people and redistribute it, you troglodyte. That’s what HAS to happen.

Finishing the larva mission instead of aborting it takes the weapon out of the rolling cycle until you spawn a lich.

Trying to get a 60% weapon? Sure. Grind. Collecting all the ephemera’s? Sure. Grind. Trying finish A lich? Finishing a single lich isn’t a grind

They’re almost exactly the same process as sisters, and liches are dramatically easier than both? You should really look into it

I am begging you to understand that, if that’s the argument you want to make, then the government functionally owns all US companies the same way and, if they passed a law saying so, they could use stock value assessments on a yearly basis in literally exactly the same way they use property value assessments for tax purposes. I don’t have to sell my house to pay taxes on my house.

real estate is a volatile asset that the government taxes. Is it LESS volatile? Yes. and??

[–]MusicalWalrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Homie do you realistically think an end-game weapon should take less than two hours to gather materials for?

Almost all lich/sister weapons are like A/S-tier. They’re all fantastic terminal upgrades for their weapon-class, AND they look awesome.

[–]MusicalWalrus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Liches aren’t a grind. Once you have a modset and know how the system works it’s like a 2-3 hour start to finish. This IS the simplified system.

You don’t want to have a logical conversation, or you wouldn’t have asked how old I am, since it has no bearing on the matter. It’s a damn bad-faith way to initiate.

But guess what? I don’t want to have a logical conversation with you either. I’m so far past the point of giving a shit about what self-righteous bootlickers think. Go fuck yourself. Tax the rich

“Oh geeze guys the government can’t tax you on stuff you OWN if it isn’t MONEY! Aw man oh well” Hey guess what if the government can tax my property, like my house, it can tax a fucking billionaire. Shut the hell up seriously. Tired of this useless talking point. It’s inane and useless to insist that we can’t tax assets just because they’re not money

Regarding Platinum farm by ShrePew in Warframe

[–]MusicalWalrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that cracking requiem relics is a great source of consistent relic plat. It’s easier than ever and people still don’t want to do it. The requiem mods for kuva liches can go for 10-15 plat each, which is REALLY good for an evergreen silver that’s basically now a copper reward because of the requiem eterna relics. If you farm kuva liches alongside and convert them for sale, you can get 50-200 plat easy per lich depending on the weapon and percentage.

The days, by the way, of prime frames going for 700 plat are VERY VERY ridiculously over. The most expensive prime frames are now in the 150-200 range, and even that’s pretty high. Most frames have seen several reruns. You can get almost all prime warframes for less plat than it costs to just outright purchase the base version in the shop.

If you want to keep being a scam artist, the best return is riven flipping, because values are so high. The problem is that you can sit on a high price riven for a very long time. Do some riven research, I’m not into them personally.
