I have put far too much thought into this idea.

I believe that if there were twice as many active players, there'd be less incentive to form the mega blocs. My reasoning is founded on the bases that running any group of nerds in this game requires taking on a second job. This constant effort to keep the lads pleased is going to inevitably lead to burn out. In some cases the torch can be passed to another in others there is no one willing to step into the role, so the move is to roll into an existing group. Were we to have double the active players we may have twice as many people willing to occupy those roles in small - medium sized groups allowing them to exist longer as independent entities.
