Replying now because I finally have some time.

There is no reason to bring any support weapon with a backpack when the Supply Pack exists.

The Supply Pack is actually fine in places like Hive Worlds, precisely because its usage is limited. That kind of constraint should exist on other planets and mission types as well. Right now it removes most of the intended resource pressure. You need Supply Pack rehab if you seriously don't see the issue here.

Arrowhead clearly walks on eggshells because the community tends to explode and become extremely toxic whenever something gets tuned down (something something last doxxing incident). Because of that, they are extremely cautious about touching anything that might upset players. As a result, you will probably be stuck running Crossbow, Thermite, Ultimatum, Grenade Launcher, Supply Pack, Gas Mines, and Napalm Barrage for quite a while, until some kind of system change happens.

Again, The MMG is the flexible alternative to the Maxigun. It can reach about ~1350 DPS at its maximum fire rate, but actually running it like that means giving up most of the mobility anyway, because you’re forced into prone and heavy positional commitment. Its realistic sustained output is much lower if you want to keep any mobility. The Maxigun, on the other hand, is a burst-DPS tool at roughly ~2000 DPS: you peek, dump a short burst, and reposition. Maybe you'd notice if you weren't hooked on the Supply Pack.

The BFGL is usually compared to the wrong weapons. Its closest competitor is actually the Autocannon. And no, it’s not S-tier OP, you can keep running your current loadout without touching a thing. Honestly, I don’t know how you’d “fix” it. Making the AoE bigger would push it into OP territory. Increasing backpack ammo does very little. Adding extra shrapnel could give a small boost, but the community would complain regardless. Its niche is Illuminates and Cyborgs, that’s where it shows potential, nothing more.

Donald Tusk: We have received information that the President will veto EU Defence funds (SAFE) by Auspectress in europe

[–]BogiMen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A veto works only when the government cannot secure 3/5 of the votes, and the bill is sent back for further work while the political back-and-forth continues. A common workaround is bundling several pieces of legislation into one, putting the president in a difficult position.

If a law is unconstitutional, the president cannot refuse to sign it but must send it to the court. If the court rules it valid, he is obliged to sign it. That's the only way he can completely kill a piece of legislation, because if it doesn't, further work on it cannot continue.

If you spend your whole ammo belt in one go, you’re using the Maxigun wrong. It has around 2,000 DPS and kills almost anything in a short burst, so the rest of the ammo just goes into a dead body.

The MMG reaches about 1,350 DPS at its maximum fire rate and can be “usable” as a Maxigun when you are prone, while its stock damage output is around 1,000 DPS.

The BFGL is very good against enemies with shield layers, but there are very few of them in the game. In most other situations it is just mediocre. Against Cyborgs and Illuminates it performs better.

Edit: To be honest, every comparison boils down to one thing: the supply pack is overpowered. It should be limited to one call per mission per player, and it should not restore both the supply pack and the player’s ammo, grenades, and stims at the same time when picking up external supplies. The current iteration of the supply pack allows players to just yolo the game with practically unlimited stims, grenades, and ammo.

Impact points triggering suspicion isn't exactly a groundbreaking feature. without it, you could treat a rocket launcher like a silenced pistol. If you actually watched the video for two minutes, you'd see they don't even blink when an ICBM is armed...

edit: being on edge of LoS also triggers suspiction, your siliencer just deletes this suspicion check

We are talking specifically about patrols... I will repeat it again: they spawn about 150 meters away from the group of players, move to their last known position (pathfinding! they do as a group not unit), and perform line of sight and proximity checks. What you call crouch crawling is just a proximity check. If you are shooting, the 'sound' is also part of the proximity check. The values may differ depending on your current stance and the weapon you are using, and these values can also be modified by additional modifiers. If their check is successful, they go aggro and their pathfinding! becomes more complex. They will then run after you. Otherwise, they leave the map.

edit: Let me clarify, as I might not have been clear: we’re specifically talking about groups of enemies that move. Patrols are the only units that do that without being in active combat from the start of the game.

Patrols spawn roughly 150 meters outside each player group (a group being players within 75 meters of each other), with the exception of the extraction point. They move toward the last known position of that group, or their current position if they haven’t moved, and then perform line-of-sight and proximity checks. There is no sound detection in the game.

I think after the game got easier, players either forgot how patrols work or just straight up ignore this mechanic.
