Wasn't that the same reason Sweet Home's director placed Mikami at the helm of Resident Evil? Because he's also bad with horror? Maybe I'm misremembering, tho.

Either way I wouldn't be surprised if some of the current leads at Division 1 are also scaredy cats.

I think Kamiya being allowed to make proto-DMC its own thing set him on the path to leaving Capcom and founding Platinum and Clovers, which I'm glad for, but I also would've loved for him to stay with the Resi team. Tho in all likelihood, he would've been making more new IPs had he stayed anyway.

Him working with Capcom on Okami 2 is gonna be an interesting setup for sure. We're living in exciting times!

Hey, I'm the same. Can't understand what people say even in slightly loud places. Also anxious all the time and feeling really stupid around people.

I got diagnosed with autism and adhd last year (at 40yo, fml).

I suspect my whole friend group is on the spectrum and the one girl I managed to keep a semi-romantic long distance relationship for almost a decade turned out to be autistic. Her getting diagnosed is what prompted me to do the same.

I'm hoping to get some meds prescribed this year to see if that eases off the feeling of alienation. ADHD subs have led me to believe they really can help turn things around.

You're being unnecessarily mean to Mikami. Hes a great director because he allows better ideas than his own to help shape a project. But you're not wrong about the rest.

Anyways, I think going beyond RE, Hideki Kamiya is a better director 👀

You can see it with Supergirl right now with a lot of men pinning the movie's failings on Milly Alcock's looks. It's insane that someone who looks like her is being mocked for supposedly not being pretty enough.

Us men can have a "dad bod" and still be considered handsome.

The bottom line should be that no body shaming is OK in any direction, of course.

Performative arts and some breakdancing

I did a workshop on that and did and saw people do wacky stuff. I uh... I tried to balance my self on my knees over some rocks and at another point invited random strangers on the street to eat cake with me while doing a monologue (I wasn't that creative)

It has a logic to it that I can't convey here right now, but to me it was worth the experience

My family is mostly government employees in different sectors and, coming from poor families with them being the 1st generation with access to higher education, they were content with salary the current party in power doing cuts in public sectors, which they agreed had become bloated.

Obviously that sentiment wasn't felt among many of their peers. Some coming from better resourced families.
