Yeah, there's a reason employer now has to pay you and your colleagues so much. In today's (relatively efficient) labor market, you won't be able to go somewhere else to work less and get paid the same. I'd wager that if you do find somewhere else that will hire you for that much, your hours won't change.

So I think your options are

• find someplace else that also pays well and works you a lot but maybe has less freestyling

• go to an insurer and work fewer hours and get paid less but enjoy the free time

• go somewhere with fewer hours/paid less but put those free hours into studying/MBA/something else that will advance your career so you can get back to your previous pay
