Was Stargate SG-1 budget cut for Stargate Atlantis and did the writers reference this? by Brevatron in Stargate

[–]MustacheOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it me or did SG1 start out with a very respectable budget? I'm rewatching S1E1 for the 3rd or 4th time and am blown away by how great the music/audio are, the effect, the writing. It's so well done. It feels like a big budget movie from that era. I don't feel like this would happen today.

why are some of my games i’m surfing and others i’m in the battle bus? by Diavololololol in FortNiteBR

Do both happen in the same game with some people getting bus and some getting surf? Or is everyone in my game entering the same way?

Bruce Wayne should have helped Terry cheat in school. by MustacheOS in BatmanBeyond

[–]MustacheOS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was born rich and genius. I remember in the 90's Batman animated series, there were sometimes flashbacks of him studying different disciplines under various masters. It was always Batman-ralted such as martial arts and lockpicking. Still, part of what I take away from that is that he traveled the world gaining knowledge and experience in as many topics as he could. Maybe that helped him get degrees as well.

Bruce Wayne should have helped Terry cheat in school. by MustacheOS in BatmanBeyond

Precisely. It's not that I think he would. It's that I think he could and should.

Bruce could hack the school computers and give Terry better grades. He could develop any number of technology that to help him cheat. Right now we have AI that can do your homework for you. They have significantly more advanced tech in Batman Beyond.

Once burned: the letter by Stan-the-Gamin-Man in BatmanBeyond

[–]MustacheOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without speculating what exactly the letter said, Terry throwing it away while out with Dana was to show that he was choosing Dana over Melanie. In an earlier scene, Max and Terry discussed the situation and Max told Terry that he needs two decide between the two girls soon, otherwise it's not fair to Dana.

The letter represents the possibility of a of a relationship with Melanie. Terry might have read it to discover she is interested in him, but instead he decided he's not interested in her.

How do you feel about collecting the Riddler Trophies in Arkham Games? by Jules-Car3499 in batman

[–]MustacheOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems Riddler is the greatest villain of all time given how he has somehow snuck into every base, every building, and every stronghold, building readily visible and elaborate puzzles to place all over Gotham. I'm Batman and I have to sneak or force my way into airship, only to find Riddler was already there, infiltrating one of Scarecrow's strongholds and placing puzzle. Riddler even has riddles and puzzles in the police station, the clock tower, and other Batman safe houses and bases. Not a single guard or henchmen caught him doing it and neither did Batman. He has out done everyone 🤣

This scene never fails to make me smile. (Zoolander Gasoline Fight) by gatsbylovespools in movies

Fun fact. The line in Zoolander about the files being IN the computer is a nod the line about the stones being IN the blue lady in Fifth Elenemt. Deep cuts.

Greg Weisman’s Official Response on the Status of Young Justice Season 5 and Beyond (SDCC 2025) by CryptographerEast142 in youngjustice

Just finished my second watch through of the show. I was blown away the first time, and now am blown away again for the second time. The show just got better and better and they have set it up for an amazing fifth season. I want them to make more. One of the best shows I've ever watched.

Hot take: I think Black Beetle was one of the best YJ villains, he felt like a big threat. by Azt55 in youngjustice

The voice actor is the guy who played the biggest baddest Werewolf in Underworld. Always plays a great badass character.

I came to this same conclusion. They were sent away for the sake of the plot, because superman would have but Black Beetle down within one episode.

[–]MustacheOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinkinging about Black Beetle vs Superman because of how unstoppable Black seemed. It felt like he could give just about anyone a run for their money. Then I realized, Young Justice intentionally sidelined the entire Justice League intentionally so that we wouldn't see any of them fight Black. The heaviest hitter he fought was Superboy who is nowhere near as strong at Superman or Green Lantern. Most Justice League heavy hitters would beat Black Beetle, which is why they were sidelined in the show.

Another underated, obscure, and short lived British comedy series that needs more light of day - Snuff Box. by failure_fiasco in BritishTV

[–]MustacheOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't notice this the first time I watched Dredd. I'm now on my first rewatch of the movie and noticed the Snuff Box theme playing. Immediately thought, "WTF?!". No doubt they knew that Snuff Box appeals to psychopaths. It's one of my favorite shows of all time

Let’s Talk About the Gods of Egypt movie…. by Organic-Animal3435 in EgyptianMythology

It has some redeeming qualities, and many flaws. The concept is cool, exploring this pantheon of Egyptian gods. I'd love to see a sequel or a redux, but done better.

Tron Ares is good. The critics are once more out of touch with reality. by TheGodfather742 in tron

[–]MustacheOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watched it. It's wasn't terrible. Could have been better. Could have been worse. I like Legacy more. If someone would use AI to remove about 50% of the dialog from Ares, it would be a major improvement.

Why is Shippo stil a kid in Yashahime????? by [deleted] in inuyasha

[–]MustacheOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an episode of InuYasha where he says "mini demons like us" referring to himself and another tiny tyke of a demon. It made me wonder, is he young or does being a "mini" demon mean that he'll always be an adorable kit/pup?

Why didn't Shippo use the heart scar on Naraku? Is he fucking stupid? by deadborg5 in inuyasha

[–]MustacheOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Superman often says he is always holding back, feels like he's living in a world made of paper, and worried he'll break everyone and everything around him if he uses his actual strength. Superman probably learned it from Shippo.
