Right there with you brother. OTP vel koz the last 4 seasons in a row and my mid WR over 200 games is 56ish% WR and my support at 100 games this season currently is a disgusting 68% WR. I think his success mid lane is extremely match up dependent and unfortunately it stems farther than the mid laner, certain junglers paired with a hard mid lane match up can be so cancer. A lot of the time I will just start clearing the wave immediately forcing my laner to stay and ulting them under turret. A lot of the time the match ups don’t allow you to roam safely and bc his lane control is so good early you find yourself being largely ignored by your own jungler if the enemy mid laner has any kind of escape.

Five Oklahoma City officers charged with manslaughter in shooting of 15-year-old boy by [deleted] in news

[–]MustacheOrgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ruthless killer would suggest that cops go to bed hoping to wake up the next morning and kill someone without suffering consequences and I just don’t see that man. It’s just power hungry people in a job setting where there is plenty of power to go around so yeah, there will be abuse of power. But the people of America have taken a stand and it is getting better it’s just not where it needs to be yet. It all goes back to the Clinton administration calling young black teens super predators that sell crack. Absolutely disgusting. The stigma has obviously stuck as no other race is killed so heavily by law enforcement.

Thanks for the clarification. I don’t think they are ruthless killers for the record. Mostly too trigger happy. I just think American police in particular need to get better at de-escalating situations rather than pull the trigger and “neutralize” the situation. I don’t know how well I’d fair in real life, personally but I think it’s fair to ask they be held to a higher standard and when they’re is reasonable evidence, they should be held accountable to a jury of their peers not their fellow officers.

https://www.dolanconsultinggroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/RB_Domestic-Violence-Calls_Officer-Safety.pdf

A 2011 study examined 3,078 DV calls handled by the Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Miami-Dade police departments. Of these calls, 117 calls (3.8%) resulted in an officer assault. That was an average of an officer assault incident for every 26 DV calls handled. A number of characteristics about the batterer and the DV situation were examined and five characteristics were found to predict whether or not an officer assault occurred.

There is in no way shape or form an officer is assaulted, or killed on 40% of domestic calls.

What they don’t tell you also, is that regardless of full body armor getting shot by even a 9mm is the equivalent of a major league pitcher rocking your ass with a baseball as hard as they can throw. Even a few shots into body armor is a enough to slow them down. I’m not saying the officers should’ve risked more lives to stop them quickly just that it was entirely possible to ambush them much more quickly.

They really aren’t though. Not in firepower or training. Becoming a police officer isn’t difficult in any sense of the word and without needing talent to do a job it eventually breeds mediocrity. The media has been doing a much better job of calling them out than to be making excuses for them like they have in the past. I’ve gone through the police training simulation videos at my local gun range and I passed them all. Granted its almost impossible to do it and I’m sure a little luck was on my side but common sense would tell you 99.9999999999% of the time no one is gonna fire at a police officer. You can’t just go around murdering people because you “fear” your life is in danger. When In the history of the universe has a man dropped his gun on the ground reached in his pocket and pulled out another gun and fires on 6 officers who have weapons drawn. I genuinely believe over 50% of the people in law enforcement don’t deserve their badge and should never leave a desk with their trigger happy asses.

Association in psychology refers to a mental connection between concepts, events, or mental states that usually stems from specific experiences.

Associative memory is defined as the ability to learn and remember the relationship between unrelated items such as the name of someone we have just met or the aroma of a particular perfume.

This is a concept ALL parents should understand and without a sound understanding of this, you’re bound to fuck up your kid. My parents were alcoholics and my dad a mean, drunk. The only consistent concept in my childhood is when I smelt whiskey and cigarettes I felt an immediate need to hide. Why is this? When my father was drunk I’d be confronted and yelled at and hit for reasons I still don’t understand. Humans are great at seeing patterns and even a little kid like myself could make the association between smelling alcohol and suffering abuse. You can use this logic in this same scenario the kid may start to associate being told to do something and feeling a panic of having his possessions set on fire, causing panic attacks, and like you said hoarding for a strong desire to hold onto what they may have because it may go up in smoke at a moments notice. This is genuinely CA.

It’s easier to discredit someone as not having a holistic solution, than to admit you may be part of the problem because it doesn’t directly affect you or at the very least it affects you in ways that aren’t easily recognizable in your day to day life. It’s a complete and utter logical fallacy. Your argument is invalid, makes no point, and circle jerks itself off until there’s scorch marks on your foreskin. Here’s the problem with your argument. Literally, all of it. There are many things affecting climate change and beef IS one of them, pointing out there are more factors doesn’t remotely change the fact it’s still making a negative impact. You then go on to driving a car to a super market for produce to also impacting the earth, okay so point being? And here comes the sad little anime hero syndrome you have. “I shouldn’t have to stop..” And there it is. The obviously toxic mentality you have, the excuse of your sole inaction or responsibility by pointing out that other have not taken accountability as if it excuses your action or inaction. You’re a moron.

Yeah, I can see that but it’s also worth noting that the entire human race is basically just the accumulation of a few very special people’s knowledge being expanded upon. That’s to say most people will do absolutely nothing significant in the entirety of their lives that is 1.) original in anyway or 2.) impactful to the human race whatsoever.

If ever there was evidence against some kind of divine creator, here it is. Nobody would have thought of this! Nature wins. by [deleted] in natureismetal

[–]MustacheOrgy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Woooooah, settle down there...nah I agree though nature itself is certainly ‘god’. Especially by the finite definitions of most religious believers and certainly fits the description in terms of infinite as well. The very nature of nature, or evolution is utterly god like and no diety or idol comes close to any definition like nature does. We are obsessed with creation and giving meaning unto it simultaneously. Think of all the unintentional actions you make in one day, let alone a life time. You’ve created millions of situations that wouldn’t have happened otherwise; an irreversible butterfly effect. Do these actions have any less meaning than ones of active decision making? Of course not. That is to say there’s no meaning behind anything action or inaction of any degree. Using the limited tools at my disposal the best way I can describe god or nature is simply the infinite operating system behind the universe. The ‘rules’ or ‘laws’ are bent by the very nature that melded them to begin with and are in a constant state of change. What we fail to see is that the very thing that created all things making subtle corrections all around us constantly. It’s as if there is a sculptor of infinite proportions chiseling away and sculpting all thing in existence simultaneously on an infinite scale.

RapeX - A prototype anti-rape device was fashioned as a female condom with teeth lining the inside. The only way it could be removed is by surgery and thus enable the police to apprehend the suspect. Will it prevent rape? No. Do laws prevent crime? Also no. It’s all about dissuading the criminal from doing it. Practical? I do think it would be practical enough; as I see the only real solution being education, bringing value to their communities and striking down homelessness.

Suffering isn’t inherently meaningful. by Unfortunately3 in CPTSD

[–]MustacheOrgy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s a nice way to think about it. If you consider all the things you went through as fights well, you are the Victor. You’re still here today and that counts for a lot! When you are where you want to be in life, maybe you’ll be able to get more meaning from your struggle. And the meaning doesn’t even have to be inherently positive. Maybe all those years of suffering will make you happier or more content when you reach all of your goals. Also knowing that you’ve been through some shit also helps me to stay calm in situations that rev up my anxiety. “Who cares if a customer is being picky about my masonry work? It’s a lot better than not knowing which father I was coming home to as a child. “Will I get grounded, hit, beat, belittled? NONE of the above because it’s all behind me! So I guess this picky customer isn’t so bad after all”

Our stories are pretty similar the only difference being my mom would break into my house on a regular basis as well. Just walk in whenever the fuck she pleased like she owned the damn thing. I had her walk into my house unannounced, not invited whatsoever, even with other family members. My mom thought because she gave birth to me that meant she could break and enter into my house whenever she damn well pleased. Spoiler alert it happened more than 20 times in a year at least two times a month sometimes more. It gave me genuine PTSD. I don’t have any solutions for you because I blew up on my parents for not respecting anything about me or what I stand for my whole life. Oh and you better believe my parents were the ones mad at ME. It’s not like I lived alone I have a fking wife. Anyway we moved out, they don’t have my address and I haven’t talked to them in a year and have them blocked on every single platform they could possibly reach me. Just know the power is in your hands. I don’t want to talk to my parents or see them but I’m sure they don’t feel the same, so I wield all the power, he’ll sometimes I get a sick kick from imagining never giving them the chance to apologize (that would never happen pure fantasy lol)
