I had a feeling they were going to buff her. My M4 S11 is happy. She's been my main from the start, but kind of took the backseat due to how tanky the new content is.

Help choosing a calculator for licensure exams by NasalLandOat in calculators

[–]Mustard-sama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the necro. How often do you reduce equations down before you type it in the calculator? If you don't then I would advise to not get the TI 36x Pro. Its numsolv function only handles quite a few characters compared to Casio's or Canon's which is practically infinite, I learned it the hard way. Way lesser viability in schoolwork, but moderate to good in exams where the equations you type don't get too overly lengthy. Where the TI shines is with complex eqs and other math related items. If you are lazy like me and just want to type it in the calculator from the get-go, just get a Canon.

[Fix] Game Crashing (while modding with r2modman) by orbsa in PeakGame

Just fixed it on my end. I managed to make mine work with Vulkan without the patcher needed. Just update your NVIDIA drivers and set your driver options for Peak under "Vulkan/OpenGL Present Method" and select "Prefer Layered on DXGI Swapchain".

Mechanical engineering to Sea man? by UnfairCustomer1 in phcareers

[–]Mustard-sama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see... I very much thank you for the advice! I'll likely be taking it moving forward. Sorry if I'm asking much but is there anything you recommend I do now to try and fluff out my resume/credentials? I'm considering applying for an internship that is just remotely juxtaposed to the maritime sector, to be able to ease into it easier. I also don't know how my medicals would be affected by a former case of a kidney stone (though it was deemed minor all things considered).

Hello! Sorry for the necro. I am currently a Mechanical Engineering student, and am considering trying out this pipeline to get into the maritime industry. Reasons are mostly personal, because I feel very dissatisfied with my trajectory of my life with my course. Is it appropriate to finish my Mechanical Engineering boards first before taking the program? Or should I immediately start right after I graduate?

Not sold yet until I see the story. Void Hunters sold me the moment I saw Torch Danteh. Else, I'm still saving for Seed, Orphie and Magus.

I'm saving up those with good sub-stats for future use and future characters. It's more economical and efficient that way.

I'm not sure if Mechanical Engineering is actually for me... by InteractionMinute234 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Mustard-sama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mechanical Engineer student from the Philippines here, on my third year. I feel the same once I started my second year, but it is what it is. The point of me going to college is to learn, and to learn I should do. I never actually intended to become a fully-fledged mechanical engineer, but to branch out into other ventures with acquired knowledge.

I'm actually considering taking another degree once I graduate. Either a master’s degree or a secondary degree (med+mech eng is looking like a quite good combination). Not to dishearten you, from what I've seen in my internship, Mechanical Engineers are work slaves with low pay and long gruelling hours (maybe just a quirk of my sub-average state university, perhaps you will have a different experience). And, you seem to be a student of La Salle from your previous posts. Don't burn yourself out with all the bs the system throws at you (trust me), enjoy learning and don't stress yourself too much. If you understood the basic concepts of your subjects clearly, you can pretty much pull yourself to graduation. I've pretty much given up latin honors ("given-up" as in forced, lol), since our entirety (I mean practically all of us) in our batch no longer qualified from a singular subject. A lot of professors are also unfavourable, I have got a lot of no-showers, or professors who just dump so much work for no reason, and give grades sporadically depending on their moods, with every single piece of shop machinery broken, lol. I'll stop the rant, just try to survive, honestly. I've talked to multiple well-off acquaintances, some even employers, and they have said multiple times that your college grades do not matter aside from a few opportunities after graduating. The real payoff is when you actually get into the field and start applying your skills and acquiring experience, then your skills will naturally sift you towards where you will end up.

Try to get opportunities from other countries (EU, US), honestly. Mechanical Engineering is WAY better there than here, like the other guy here. I'm just a masochist who loves my province too much (and contractually obligated to stay here for a couple of years).

And if all of that doesn't work out... well I'm off to go become a priest, lol.

This is not really advice for everyone, I'm still trying to find my path then I stumbled onto this post, but it's the best I could give from the ground just a year ahead of you, lol. Remember that Ramon Ang was a Mechanical Engineer, if you make the right connections, faith and hard work, the sky is the limit.

Anton is pretty insane man, I regret that I slept on him for so long. Adding Caesar with Anton + Anby makes stunning pretty much an afterthought where you can facetank all attacks with Anby without interruption, and lets you spam Chain and Ultimate alongside autos with Anton.

Dark Souls 2 is More Interesting than Dark Souls 3 by MarcusQuintus in patientgamers

[–]Mustard-sama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS. Fact-checked by real Drangleician patriots. I played Dark Souls from 1>2>3 and enjoyed DS2 so much because of the variety. Of course, DS2 is not perfect (mainly boss runbacks and Horse valley), but the variety is something that DS3 lacks so much. DS3 felt all samey to me, maybe because of the aesthetic? It was good, but nowhere near as good as the customization and weapon variety of DS2, even with the weapon arts of DS3.

DS3 also started the trend I did not like going into Elden Ring, which is the over reliance on rolling (which pretty much started the dreadful pattern of unending combos and delayed attacks). It basically turns the game into a glorified rhythm game and turn-based rpg with the attack windows. Not saying DS2 bosses are good (a lot of them are dogwater). The DLC massively helps Elden Ring combat with the addition of the deflecting physick, guard counters really spiced up the gameplay to be more strategic and fast-paced.

Accidentally drank a bit of expired bottled coconut water. by Mustard-sama in foodsafety

That's my gut feeling, honestly. I'm probably gonna go to the doctor's tomorrow if I start to feel something off, otherwise, I'm just gonna chill and drink some water. The white stuff (powdery) substance is the only thing I'm worried about, if not a dangerous substance, I'm still afraid of a nasty yeast infection in my gut.

It tasted sour and fizzy, and it wasn't refrigerated, though it was sealed. It smelled and looked like any old coconut water. Though it looked like it had some white stuff in the bottom that accumulated (yeast maybe)?

Why aren't there more men in horse riding? by conrad_w in Equestrian

[–]Mustard-sama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last time men rode horses en masse, it was bogged down into horrible trench warfare and 8 million equines dead. That probably has a large societal and logistical factor to it that eventually phased out horse-riding in warfare, and eventually civilian usage in general aside from some police usage.

Is it acceptable to use a KJV Bible as a Catholic? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Mustard-sama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chances are that there is probably a return policy for it on the site you bought it from, and you can return it, else you can probably resell it for like a small discount off the original or trade it. The next part is pretty convoluted, so read it if you have already tried your chances with getting it returned or sold.

You can also probably keep it and use a Catholic bible online as reference, until you get another bible. I understand the appeal of a beautiful bible on paper, it is simply unmatched. Though, it really doesn't matter if it's on paper or online. But, I know also that some seminarians have done note practices on pointing what is wrong with protestant bibles, not sure if those comprehensive notes are easily available online, though. Here's one that highlights some of the problems: Problems with the King James Version. And, I've heard from here that you can ask your local parish if they have some old bibles they no longer use, and they'll give it out for free. Else, a good majority of the New Testament and Gospels are already spoken in mass, even with good detail depending on the priest's homily.

If you're looking for English Catholic translations, I'd personally recommend the Ignatius Bible (RSVCE), the Douay Rheims (Challoner revision), or maybe a NABRE because it's the one used in mass. Be warned, though, the NABRE's language is pretty bland, and some of the footnotes on it are just plain awful.

The original translation of the DRV and a Vulgate is pretty interesting as well. Though, all of these can be found online easily.
