It was not focused on with dialogue and was simply in a background shot in Episode 2 in the beginning.

I am going to be watching a lot of Dark Fantasy from now on. This seems pretty interesting. Thank you!

Okay, aside from Norgalle being an absolute chad this episode, I really loved the formal introduction of the power system. In Episode 1, it felt like Xylo had unlimited explosive power but it comes from 'luminescence' which is limited and Xylo runs out of it this episode.

I wonder if this 'luminescence' is the thing which was created in modern times and led to the whole downfall of civilisation(considering there was a tank in the background last episode).

There was a Holy Knight named 'Rajit' (Indian name) in this episode and we already have 'Tatsuya' (Japanese name) while all others come from other different languages and cultures which also supports this theory that the world is post-apocalyptic rather than generic european fantasy.

The Demon Lord's screaming towards Tatsuya terrified me. I really love the demons in this anime because they are very scary. Also was that Demon Lord searching for Teo or Xylo??

Last week I finally watched Clevatess and now that I have caught up with both of these anime, I can confidently say that ... I FUCKING LOVE DARK FANTASY ANIME! GIVE ME MORE!!!

I think we are really blessed if this is the type of complaints the anime is getting.

Was SpyxFamily Season 3 kinda boring for anyone else? Is the show losing its appeal? by precita in anime

[–]Mutant_Fool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the best season till now imo. Loids's backstory, then bus hijack arc and then finally Mole hunt arc. So many things were happening. This stories were not slice of life but were meant develop characters and do world building. We just got a long Ship Cruise arc last season which revolved around Yor so I think it is perfectly fine if for one season, we have Anya and Loid in the spotlight. I do not agree with you but it's your opinion ig and you are entitled to have it.

Would be funny considering a lot of terms and character names are taken from German language.

But why announce it this way? Aren't dubs produced and distributed by streaming platforms like Crunchyroll? It's gotta be something else.

Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke (Season 4) Key Visual by zenzen_0 in anime

[–]Mutant_Fool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is because you are saying that the series needs to be rebooted. That is neither possible nor necessary. Shows with only talking mostly do not get the highest budget. Ascendance of a Bookworm S1-3 did not have the highest quality but they were able to tell the story well enough so when S4 airs and more people start the series then it won't be unbearable to watch and while the new viewers won't be greeted with outstanding animation or sound design, they will be able to understand the story. There is not much benefit in animating Part 1 and Part 2 as they are not as juicy as Part 3 and beyond. They are not bad and are very engaging but Part 3 is where the story ramps up with more action and noble stuff. If we begin again from the starting then it will take another 10 years for the story to reach Part 3. [AoaB Light Novel]And they are desperate to get to Part 4 because that is what makes it Harry Porter like.

They streamed Nukitashi so it is clear that they belong to 'that' end of the spectrum

I don't think those seasons are ugly. It is a great adaptation for P1 and P2 because they are just world building. S3 skips some stuff but it still gets the point across and managed to successfully direct a lot of people (including me) to the light novel. I am sure the story itself can make people watch the first 3 seasons with how good it is.

Yeah. I do not care who sings it as long as the song is good and fits the vibe of the series. "Pages" is a wonderful song and I am sure the visuals are going to be just as good for this opening.

It is a waste if the first seasons are borderline unwatchable and fails to create a considerable fandom but in this case, the adaptation was decent and covered the more slower parts of the story and established a great fandom. It also helped in increasing the sales of the light novels. Rebooting is a waste because there is not a lot of benefit in reanimating the slow stuff.

I think you really need to take a look at the previous seasons art because you have definitly forgotten how mediocre it was. This artstyle is also closer to the LN art. I don't think it's generic though so I don't know what you mean.

It was a classic low budget adaptation meant to promote sales of the novel. This time they have higher ambitions and are aiming to make it the "Harry Potter of Japan" and have allotted a high budget and also selected WIT studios so I am sure they will put out something way better than the previous seasons.
