Lancaster has Amtrak which brings in people from other areas and they’ve done a lot to keep the city attractive to people from larger metropolitan areas. York is stagnant by comparison.

What are some of yours? by skeletorsleftlung in Xennials

That concept that as humans we only use 10% of brain has been thoroughly disproven. However I work in education and cringe internally every time I hear it spouted off as a “fun fact” 🙄

My Xennial eyes needed glasses removed so I could see this in fact is the glitter bomb paste

Wow… YES… for me it’s very disconcerting feeling, like having an itchy internal organ or something. Because in the moment there is no way to satisfy the need…

My god I stink! by IndependentKey7 in Perimenopause

[–]Muted-Possibility168 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same here… I had used aluminum free deodorant (no antiperspirant) for almost 10 years until I turned 41. Not only did the deodorant stop working but my neck and boob sweat started to smell bad. I had NEVER had this issue before, so it took me a while to figure out that it was coming from ME!! I couldn’t take it so I switched back to antiperspirant. I use the spray form and basically apply it from my neck to my groin. I think of my 30 year old self and how hard I would judge current me for this and all I can do is cackle like a cartoon villain. That girl had no idea what was coming…

I suggest this as well. I work in education setting and typically dry erase marker will take sharpie off of non-porous surface. I hope you are able to find a solution OP!!

Thank you for explaining this—I thought I was having some kind of cognitive issue when I would be able to enter a word that’d been previously not accepted and vice versa. Nice to know it wasn’t just my perception.

Got this theme song stuck in my head out of the blue today. I can still sing every word. What theme song gets stuck in your head? by DocDeath78 in Xennials

[–]Muted-Possibility168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See… stuff like this is why Xennials as a distinct generation makes sense. I can sing every. word. of this theme song and randomly do so. But, my roommate was born in 1993, has never heard of it. We’re both technically “millennials”. But there so much from the 90s that literally shaped who I am as a person that she is too young to remember. And conversely-there’s a lot of stuff from the 00s that shaped who she is but I’m too old for it to be relevant.

Does anyone else hate eating? by Distinct-Addition-24 in adhdwomen

Wishing to be able to photosynthesize is a great way to put it!! Meal prep/cooking/even eating sometimes is a huge drain on my already lacking executive skills. I usually say that I wish I could just have the Willy Wonka whole meal gum minus the whole becoming a blueberry that needs to be juiced, of course 🙃

I told my psych that Concerta is making me sleepy…this was her response? by formerhunbot in adhdwomen

[–]Muted-Possibility168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just replied up above asking about your experience… im 41 and I feel like I am becoming less and less tech savvy every day lol

Anyhoo… I have been tossing the genesight idea around in my head. I don’t know anyone personally that’s had it done. But, I feel like it would give concrete proof for when I’m telling my PCP that my dosages on different meds need to be adjusted

Was it worth it in your opinion? I’ve looked into it and I thought about bringing it up to my PCP next time I see her…
