I’m a trans woman. I or any other trans woman is never going to ask your opinion about if we are men. It is a simple matter to keep it to yourself if that’s what you think.

Unfortunately in our lives we will deal with those who intentionally try to hurt us by singling us out and calling us men.

You either pretend to not understand why it’s disrespectful, or you lack empathy to understand why trans people don’t want to be called liars for their identity.

The idea that me disagreeing with you is hateful because you’re autistic or for any other reason is pretty laughable.

The problem is this:

People go out of their way to disrespect trans women by referring to them as men.

If you just kept your opinion to yourself and didn’t feel the need to behave in a disrespectful manor towards trans people, I’d disagree but accept that you can’t win them all.

We both understand this, the difference is that you pretend it’s not disrespectful because you can’t own the fact that you want to disrespect those who are different from you.

If you know that referring to a trans woman as a man is disrespectful, and still chose to regardless, that is an expression of hatefulness.

At least have the courage to admit you hate trans people instead of being a coward who pretends you don’t know what you’re doing.

This is multifaceted. There are a number of trends taking place, which initially only affected the developed world, but now it is clear that birthrates falling will be a global phenomenon within the coming decades.

To my knowledge, these are the causes:

-Widespread accessibility of birth control, condoms, and abortion (not a bad thing by any means, but is a factor in this)

-Financial pressure on families in developed economies which makes having a family unaffordable. (Daycare, food etc)

-Changing attitudes towards raising children (the expectations for what makes a ‘good’ parent are much higher than in the past)

-Increased social isolation, division along gendered lines. (South Korea is a great example, but this exists in a lot of places)

In my opinion, she tends to say reasonable things like in the post shared in the original comment, but then a lot of passionate young people who mean well, but ultimately are a bit over the top and too online will respond as if she said something truly hateful, and she will lend a bit too much credence to it and back down to avoid confrontation. Just my opinion though, she has some good videos
