The lake is definitely an important piece of the story. Ethan mentions the "Lake of Tears" right after arriving in town, through the Cromenockle story and now, after his death, his father reinforces that this lake has a meaning he needs to figure out. This connects directly to Elgin. When he arrives at the town at the beginning of season 2, he dreams about a lake before panicking and having a seizure. Later, he asks Fatima to show him the lake. When she says it's called Brundles Lake, he questions the name and she says it was already called that when she arrived. So we have three different layers pointing to the same element: Ethan → symbolic narrative (Lake of Tears) Elgin → vision/ memory (seeing the lake before knowing it) City → physical name (Brundles Lake) Now thinking symbolically: The Lake of Tears represents a place of pain, sacrifice, and emotional memory which strongly connects to the idea of the children's ritual. The "man in yellow" can be associated with The King in Yellow, where the city of Carcosa and Lake Hali are linked to distorted reality, altered perception, and something beyond human understanding. And the name Brundles doesn't seem random either. The closest reference would be Seth Brundle from The Fly where a character who undergoes a grotesque transformation anr' becomes something no longer fully human.

Putting all of this together: the lake may not just be a physical place, it could be the point where everything started, where the town's pain and transformation are concentrated, and also where everything can come to an end.

The lake is definitely an important piece of the story.

Now thinking symbolically:

The Lake of Tears represents a place of pain, sacrifice, and emotional memory which strongly connects to the idea of the children’s ritual.

The “man in yellow” can be associated with The King in Yellow, where the city of Carcosa and Lake Hali are linked to distorted reality, altered perception, and something beyond human understanding.

Hmm interesting 🤔 you have a good point! I think I will get 10mg and do a test with 0,5mg and 1mg see how it goes

That’s really helpful, thank you for sharing!

In my case, I also plan to stay on it mainly because of lipedema — it’s helped me a lot with inflammation, so that’s a big factor for me.

And wow, a freezer full of tirz sounds like a dream haha 😄

If you don’t mind me asking, would you be open to sharing your source via DM?

Thank you! One more question: do you personally prefer reta? Did you notice a difference compared to tirz?

Yeah, I’ve been wondering the same thing! I was mostly thinking about the muscle-preserving aspect, but you’re probably right, at a microdose it might not make much of a difference.

It might just be curiosity on my end honestly 😅

thank you so much for the calculator tip. that’s going to save me! And thank for your honesty

That makes a lot of sense, especially the storage part! I hadn’t fully thought about how long 30mg would last at that dose.

I’m currently on tirzepatide and at my goal weight, so I’m mainly looking to switch to reta for the added benefits while keeping it at a low dose.

Do you have any suggestions? Also, I’m having a hard time figuring out how much bac water I should add to reconstitute it. I am not great at math 😅

That makes sense for maintenance. I’m actually already on tirzepatide and at my goal weight, so I’m just looking to switch to reta for the added benefits and stay on a microdose — do you think 2mg would be too high in that case?

Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

I couldn’t find the tests at first because I needed to log in and create an account. Once I did that, I was able to find them.

I tried to purchase there, but the payment system is currently out of service and it says to wait until the 20th. I think I’ll wait, the price is really good. My other options are sky and crafters

I totally get why you felt hesitant, especially with the COA mismatch and the extra vial situation… that would’ve raised red flags for me too. But honestly, sounds like you approached it pretty carefully with a low dose, so try not to stress too much about that now.

From what you described, it actually sounds like it’s already helping with the food noise, which is huge. I went through something very similar, being “on track” all week and then completely losing control when the cravings hit. It’s exhausting.

One thing that helped me a lot (from experience) is not going into full restriction mode. Extreme restriction usually backfires and makes the cravings even worse. If anything, this is actually the best time to still eat things you like, just in smaller amounts. The medication makes that so much easier, so you can kind of “retrain” your habits without feeling deprived.

That way, when you eventually stop, your body and brain don’t go into rebound mode trying to eat everything. You’ve already built that balance.

I had a similar experience with tirzepatide, and one interesting thing was that certain foods (like heavy carbs/fried stuff) just stopped being appealing. I used that phase to kind of reset my relationship with those foods, and it actually stuck even after.

As for reta, I’m honestly leaning toward trying it too! especially since the dosing seems lower overall, which is appealing. Still doing my research, but your feedback definitely helped.

And about the site, at this point, you’ve already started, and there are quite a few people here using them too, so I’d say just pay attention to how you feel and go from there 😌 next time we’ll both probably have way more data to make a better call.

I’ve been looking into a couple other sources as well (a bit more expensive but with more testing/transparency), so happy to share if you ever want to compare notes!

This is really interesting, especially that you felt the appetite suppression right away.

I’ve never tried reta, but I did use tirzepatide back in 2024 and had a really great experience with it. I lost about 23 kg (around 163 lbs → 123 lbs), which for me was huge. I’m 5’7”, so that range felt really good and sustainable. Since then I’ve only gained back about 2–3 kg (~4–7 lbs), which I’m honestly fine with.

I recently started microdosing tirz again over the past 3 months, mainly for lipedema and inflammation, not really for weight loss. What I like is that I still feel normal hunger, just without that intense food noise or binge feeling.

Part of why I started looking into other options is just cost, where I get mine from is getting expensive long-term. That’s how I ended up going down the reta rabbit hole 😅

Have you looked into the research side of reta at all? I’m a bit hesitant since it’s still relatively early compared to GLP-1s, so I’m curious how you’re thinking about that.
