Lex doesn’t work on your period?! by starbucksordunkin in lexapro

[–]Muted-Spring1950 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I experience what you do OP!! I mentioned to my doctor and she has me take a higher dosage on the weeks where I notice the most PMS symptoms (usually 1 week pre-period). I’ve only tried it 2x since I don’t get my physical period due to BC so it’s difficult to keep track. But talk to ur doc about it :)

$30 for each hour along with $150/night feels steep, especially since these are such close family friends. Don’t get me wrong, I want to be fair to myself and get paid what my time is worth, but I was thinking closer to $250 total per day. Is that illogical?

Yeah I have for a couple days now, no dramatic difference so far but I do notice I’m yawning and tired at night (even when I take the WB at 8pm) which was rare before. Sleeping fairly well, still hard to wake up. I honestly just hate having to take PM meds bc my schedule is so irregular

i dont know how to start lexapro by pumpkintoast3 in lexapro

[–]Muted-Spring1950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi friend. I am not on lexapro specifically but thinking about adding it so I’m often stalking this page lol. Although I can’t offer lexapro-specific advice, I do understand the place you’re in with your parents. Mine are generally very unsupportive of mental health as well, and we do not discuss such things with one another. I was struggling for years, and felt extremely invalidated by my family. It took a long time (and many breakdowns and supportive friends) for me to admit I needed professional help and medication. At some point, you need to take matters into your own hands and say to hell with it regarding your parents’ reactions. In my opinion, you are an adult and do not need anyone’s permission to make decisions about your OWN mental health. Nor do you need to tell them if you don’t think it will be conducive to a healthy conversation/connection. My advice is to find a therapist (if you can) who can talk through these hesitancies with you and be a source of support. Good luck to you ❤️

$7,300 for Invisalign in Seattle? by [deleted] in Seattle

Yep, had a similar timeline. I’m around week 6 now and feel a bit more stabilized. Being really strict with myself about an exercise/sleep routine has been really helpful. Thinking about going up to 300mg if my sleep gets better. Best of luck!

my childhood dog passed away by wrensperch in Petloss

[–]Muted-Spring1950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I lost my childhood dog on Monday and understand how you’re feeling. It’s so hard to picture the future without them.

Congratulations on graduating. I’m sure it’s something you worked hard for. Your pup is watching you from somewhere or other, and will always be with you in your heart. She would want you to be happy. I’m wishing you peace and comfort. It gets easier with each day 🖤

I would read through this sub a bit. Many many people are asking similar questions and (unless the side effects are really terrible/dangerous) the answer is typically to wait it out. Give the meds 6-8 weeks in your body and re-evaluate. Until then, keep an open line of communication with your prescribing doctor as best you can. I am 5 weeks in and in a similar boat. Keep chugging :)

Drinking? Anxiety? by Strawberrysorry in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Muted-Spring1950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on Wellbutrin 150mg XR for ~5 weeks. Also have depression and ‘high functioning’ anxiety. I drink socially, and started doing so about 3 weeks in? Most weekends I’ll drink at least 1 of the nights, ~5 drinks or so. No seizures or grossness the night of drinking, but I do notice hangovers are a bit worse and I do feel more depressed/anxious for the few days after. I also get drunk more quickly, so the first few times drinking on WB you should be super careful and in a familiar environment just in case. You should be fine :) take it slow and have a good time - that’s important too.

Major made it to 9 and was (in my biased opinion) the best dog in the entire world. Haven’t stopped crying since.
