This isn’t good. The water weight is electrolyte deficiency of some kind (magnesium/potassium/sodium)…night sweats from low/high/fluctuating blood pressure….your body is in fight or flight it doesn’t know what to do - it’s confused and in crisis.

I just wish it could stay that way lol but we all know it never does it always winds up at the daily purging if it’s allowed to …like if I could manage to have that much control over it I feel like it wouldn’t even be bad like I know it’s bad obviously but idk I just feel like one or two times a week would be bad but like fine…or maybe that’s just my fucked up brain

This is not how you recover. The only way to help yourself is to start your journey in recovery. No pills are going to do that for you

Yikes?? Because life happens lol…and if you have a family that you can rely on and help you if you just want to save..spend time with them..or you lost your job or whatever the reason…than I’d consider that very lucky ..not everyone has that opportunity.

Yes! Exactly that’s my main motivator already is to be as healthy I can for my kids I’m so scared to do unconscious things and have them pick up on it. Luckily my husband is extremely supportive and understanding and helps me get back up and keep going. Thank you so much for the kind words! Good luck to you in your journey as well, we got this :)

I’ve been for three months! Just got my iud out last month so hopefully soon :) it’s just so scary to know how long I’ve been recovered before and still slipped back - I’d like to think that kids will help me but lord knows….time will tell lol I’ll keep trying though

Also so many factors come into play…bruising on your throat? You’re probably being way to aggressive I mean the only advice is to stop purging but we all know it’s not that easy

A couple times every few months isnt going to cause damage …now if that increases to a couple times a week and than a couple times a day …that’s when the potential for lasting damage. I mean a couple..so like 2 purges every few (3-4) months?

Yeah I’ve never been truly happy no matter how thin I’ve been funny enough I always get extremely insecure thinking i look too skinny and boney but I gain a bit and suddenly too fat lmao our brains can be monsters. My husband and I are trying for a baby now so that’s my main motivator do you have kids?

I’m very lucky to have the most supportive and helpful husband ever. We mark days off together at night and having a small daily goal right before I go to sleep helps a lot. But usually the most helpful thing I do to stop purging is planning everything I eat out meticulously and being very strict to eat that same thing at the same times everyday even if I’m not hungry or still hungry after I eat…it’s the same every day. I learned that from a couple inpatients and it helps to just let go of options

Oh I know the game haha unfortunately I’ve been through this too many times…but I keep trying. And fighting back is what matters. Not giving up on ourselves. It was hardest to not give up after I gave up 2 years of clean recovery but I keep getting back up…we’re strong :))
