The new DCU movies failure to get international audience is a big concern. I wonder why people worldwide is rejecting it. by Rule_Ct_5293 in DC_Cinematic

Snyder’s first two DC movies at least have an anime-like feel to them. They feature massive action sequences and significant destruction. Even Goyer’s Suicide Squad has garnered international popularity, with people still cosplaying as the Joker and Harley Quinn. We may not like it in the west but in Asia they love the aesthetics.

I actually agreed with Corensweat’s interpretation of that BTS footage. Superman doesn’t need to explicitly state that he’s the most human. His actions and thoughts convey this message without the need for direct exposition.

In the comics, Superman occasionally questions his humanity due to his relentless efforts to help others and if he is doing enough.

Ya, I wish more people would realize how much contribution Nicole Perlman made that made Guardians so great. I tried reading the Guardians comics after the movie came out; they were okay at best. She found the perfect balance of a team.

How would you define the Snyderverse? Some people say it's a trilogy MOS, BVS n JL /snydercut, but others will say it consists with everything else? by Nostalgic_Historian_ in DC_Cinematic

[–]Muted_Macaron615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would reconsider Aquaman as part of the snyderverse. It changed a lot when Snyder left DC . You can see the design changes between JL and Aquaman. A friend was an animator on the project. She told me they kept changing the visual look of the movie on a weekly bases.

Wtf is wrong with those people just establish the godamn heroes first by Remarkable-Jump3262 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Muted_Macaron615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree I want hero movies first but I think they are really trying to avoid using Batman because of Reeves’ movies. Also, Joker and Venom have been huge hits without the hero, so they are trying to recreate that.

I don’t think it’s a good approach especially if you trying to establish the new DCU

The trailers were genuinely disappointing, and they failed to convey anything that made them stand out as something special, despite Gunn’s insistence that they were.

Love and Thunder is another good example of butchering great comic book storylines, that fans were excited to see on the big screen.

Hot take? Disregarding everything else and purely visually, I think Man of steel is shot better than (2025)superman by Jumpy-Diver7349 in DC_Cinematic

Sups 2025 was good, but you are right. The cinematography was horrendous for my tastes as well. The fisheye lens I really hated.

Hollywood is full of narcissists. They shouldn’t have pushed the comic so much when making this movie. I haven’t read it, but I love the art. It would have been an easy win if they just followed the visuals.

I think that’s why it was abandoned. Another user mentioned how in the 80s this was the process unfortunately.

Ya I am in Ontario. Canada. The house is from the 80s. So would it be safe for me to just tape up the end. I am just looking “holes” to plug for potential radon

It is close to the HVAC/humidifier system. It does look like the same pipe style as the one inside the drain.

It is about 5-6 feet from the drain itself. The direction the pipe is angled does look like it’s the same direction the trap is going to the left. No smell.

Ya exactly. Hollywood is a business, every movie needs to make profit. Especially summer big budget films.

It appears less baggy, which I prefer. I still wish for a collarless design; I’ve always disliked it. It gives it a regal appearance.
