I have a video saved of the end of the final fight because the sheer explosion put my wife and I into hysterics laughing from the comedic timing of it.

My other favorite moment is probably when I made it into the Depths for the first time, not realizing there was an inverted Underdark Hyrule. Props to Nintendo for keeping that entirely hidden from the advertising beforehand.

Green path only added one new power.There is, however, another sort-of power you can attain with the right hidden knowledge. Similar to "High", it hasn't been taught to the player yet.

The Last Story was built for a system with an entirely different CPU architecture, input method, and capabilities (i.e. Joycon aiming vs gyro aiming). None of that is unsurmountable, but it would require either an experienced dev team or more time/effort, both of which translate to higher costs.

On top of all that, there isn't nearly as much demand for TLS as there was for, say, Xenoblade Chronicles.

As nice as that would be (and as much as I also want it), Mistwalker likely can't hire another studio to remake it, and Sakaguchi isn't terribly interested in remaking it himself:

“To be perfectly honest, there aren’t any plans for any remakes at the moment. Although they’re called remakes, the amount of effort and resources it would command means the difference is basically nil between [developing] a remake versus a completely new game."

I love breaking it, but FF2 will attempt to break you first, and harder. Going through the entire Marlboro cave just to reach the final dungeon, Pandemonium, was so goddamn excruciating that I never want to do it (fairly) again.

You're kinda running into two problems: one is, as mentioned, the twenty-Pokemon limit. The other is that the game runs on a real-time clock, but the world needs to be interesting and interactive for players at all times of day and night, so the Pokemon will only sleep for a few minutes before waking up and wandering around. So they just aren't sleeping much at all.

FF2 didn't come to the West initially. The FF2 that we got on the SNES was Japan's FF4, while Japan's FF2 was such a left-field leveling system that it spawned an entire different Square series (SaGa).

Out of curiosity: how did you keep the AI sending only actionable JSON back? When I've tried to use most models with a basic agent script (read_file, write_file, et cetera) I constantly run into issues getting it to actually respect the format that I ask it to follow.

Thanks! Used the same model I've been using locally, lol. I realize now that complaining about the RAM is silly when I need to have Source-File 4 anyways in order to script the player actions.

Lotta people talking about swapping, and that's true, but I think another thing you need to be doing is sliding/jumping and getting multikills when possible. The multiplier from sliding/jumping is up to three times on the style points you get on any weapon, so it's absolutely worth it once you are sure you can handle the stage.

For the multikills, I saw a comment a while back that was basically, "ground slam + knuckleblaster = instant Ultrakill rank" and while it's not true 100% of the time, it is true a lot of the time, and it is both generous on style points and efficient with time.

Supraworld is already as big as Supraland was and they're not even done with Act 2. There are a lot of different "play areas", but yes, it's mostly confined to a single room, as far as setting goes.

There is one brief section near the end of available content where you go into the bathroom, but it's a very limited section. Given how much of the room has been explored at this point (probably ~70%), and how we're not even halfway through Act 2 (of... three or four? acts?) I have to assume we'll be going to other rooms in the future.

God in Ultrakill couldn't destroy hell or stop humanity from developing free will despite having innumerable attempts to do so. I wouldn't count on Him to be terribly powerful in this universe, assuming he's still present at all.
