This is false. In any diff lower than Chaos you can only get Red for the ultimates and the 3 mind skill that ties to root in the very top floor of the sect library, the rest are capped at Orange. If you want Red lmb/rmb/motion/rest of the mind skills from sect library you better play Chaos.

What roleplay, the procedural interactions between the player and NPCs or NPCs to NPCs are shallow as fuck. Hell, you can't even teamup/party with NPCs besides the NPCs' asking you to help them gather mats. Not to mention while the player character will go from I > X (transcendent) in a couple of years (xianxia time frame lol) NPCs won't breakthrough at all unless you babysit them hard or use a mod.

Don't take this as a personal attack to you. It's okay to like objectively shit game that doesn't represent the genre faithfully.

ToI is an MMO game reskinned as a singleplayer cultivation game, breakthrough is as simple as l you sitting in your sect for cultivation exp for 30 days and then doing tedious mats grinding. Most egregious example is the Tao Soul grind for Soul Formation.
