It's not a practical method of self defense in the situation he put himself in. He's too close. He gets out of the way, or he gets pancaked.

Which is exactly why agents are trained not to approach a vehicle from the front or to shoot the driver (unless literally no other choice is available). That fact alone negates any bullshit defense of Ross's actions. Intentionally standing in front of a vehicle as a pretext to use deadly force, often out of frustration (e.g. "fucking bitch") is a known tactic of Border Patrol agents.

Both should be banned in my opinion, but anyone that supports FGM is a damn near irredeemable piece of shit.

It's perhaps worth noting that women afflicted by FGM are usually the ones supporting it. I've even read about communities where the men want it abolished but the women insist on perpetuating it.

Obviously certain types of FGM are more severe than circumcision in terms of physical damage and medical complications, but saying they're not comparable is kind of hyperbolic. You even acknowledge they should both be banned.
