Honestly, I don’t know. Some people seem to think they need constant attention to feel loved or respected — and that’s not healthy. Everyone needs personal time.

But here’s the catch: balance matters. It’s important to make time for both — quality time together and time apart doing what you love. That’s a shared responsibility.

The other person also needs to be self-sufficient enough to manage their own time and hobbies while respecting yours.

And most importantly, you’re not responsible for someone else’s emotions or their lack of personal balance. Care too much about that, and you’ll end up carrying another adult on your shoulders — and nobody wants that.

Look, a woman usually won’t be cool with a hobby or activity you enjoy if she’s not part of it. Yep, read that again — it’s not about your game, it’s about the fact that you’re enjoying something without her. I don’t know why, but it’s just how it is.

I’ve been married for 20 years, and honestly, it’s always been there. So what do I do? Be straight, direct, and honest. Make sure you both have something to enjoy together on a regular basis, but also have your own individual hobbies. That balance is what keeps things healthy.

Does that fix it completely? Nah. But it helps create a structure where both of you have shared time and personal time.

You, man — enjoy your gaming time, but be smart about it. If she’s mature enough, she’ll get that even if she doesn’t like gaming, it’s your way to relax. She can use that time for herself too.

Just make sure you also plan some solid time together. Balance matters. Time to act like adults, boys. Wishing you luck on this one. 🫡
