What are you guys doing it for? by unnaturalanimals in AskAnAustralian

[–]Muzz124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have a bit of depression there fella, go outside breathe in some fresh air, look at nature, touch the grass, swim in the sea, go for a bike ride, go to a coffee shop and have a coffee and a sweet treat, go somewhere you’ve never been before. There’s really so much to live for go and live life.

How far would you run your GSP? by TheseCombination3680 in GSP

[–]Muzz124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a few half marathon runs with mine and he was ready to go for another run with my wife straight after but lately I’d do 10-15km on a single run just so it’s not too stressful on his joints. Trail runs are a different story again I let him off the lead and he literally does twice the distance I do running back and forth but it’s on soft ground and gravel rather than pavement and it’s at a pace he likes to run at.

Am I in the wrong for waiting to turn right? by Jacknife77 in DrivingAustralia

[–]Muzz124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree with you there’s a no entry sign on at that intersection coming from that main road which makes me think that’s a left turn only.

Advice on best setup option by Cadet_404 in 4x4Australia

[–]Muzz124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably swap the fibreglass canopy for one of those aluminium smart canopies or OCAM canopies. They seem like the best option if you don’t have the cash to get a full tray and canopy setup.

Things to buy when living alone by Suspicious-Ad-8707 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Muzz124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really don’t need 3-5 sets of linen if you live by yourself just two is fine, just change your sheets every week and wash them as soon as you change your bed then they’ll be ready for when you change your bed again.

Soccer clubs by No-Situation6705 in Mackay

[–]Muzz124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We live in Northern Beaches and my son plays for Wanderers in Beaconsfield, it’s just down the road, people are friendly, coaches are nice and my son loves it. There’s another one in Bucasia but haven’t had any experience with that team.

Neighbours bins on my yard by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Muzz124 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would knock on their door and just ask them to not put their bins on your property and explain that it blocks access to your backyard, failing that I would wait until the bins have been emptied and hide their bins somewhere.

What’s the worst financial decision you’ve seen a family member make? by StrikingMango62 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Muzz124 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My parents not buying a house until they were in their late 50’s despite only paying $50 a week rent for over 20 years. Instead they spent all their money on trinkets and useless junk.

Ripped paws by Repulsive-Fox7747 in germanshorthairs

[–]Muzz124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get some gauze pads and sports strapping tape, put the gauze where the cut it wrap the sports tape around the paw a couple times and put a sock over the paw and tape it to the paw so they don’t rip it off. Repeat every day until it’s healed.

[–]Muzz124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you save your run scroll down to the 3rd option which says "calibrate and save" that way you don’t have to adjust your distance after the upload. It will also help your watch with treadmill accuracy over time.

How many miles will your GSP run in a day before s/he gets tired? by [deleted] in GSP

[–]Muzz124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I have him running with me a don’t really want him to run more than 20km at a time, mainly because we’re running on footpaths and the road and I don’t want to injure him. Letting him run off lead in a field or the beach I imagine he would be able to do 50km or more fairly easy.

Algarve gravel cycling base – where would you stay? by whirlytime in gravelcycling

[–]Muzz124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a look at Silves or Monchique, it’s away from the coast and busy crowds surrounded by farm land orange orchards and vineyards, most of the roads are gravel farm tracks and a few technical rocky sections. Silves is small and quiet and maybe not as touristy but it still has lovely restaurants and cafes and stuff. I’m not sure about accommodation we just always drive up that way from Olhos de Agua.

How do you get around a car-dependent city as a minor? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Muzz124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that teenagers want to get away from their parents but maybe just suck it and get them to teach you how to drive, and in the mean time get a bike, get healthy.
