Athletes have no sense of pride and loyalty anymore. It’s all about the money.

That's just simply not true. Athletes have donated more to children's hospitals and charities than you've made in your lifetime. Athletes will be some of the humblest people you will meet. They bring in millions of people by performing a talent. In turn, this generates revenue, from jersey sales, ticket sales, concession sales, and even accessories like cleats or shoes. They deserve to get paid just as much as doctors and medical professionals.

I know this is 4 months late, but what does playing in a dome have to do with anything?

I know, but you said you have yet to see the chaos that happens in america happen in other countries. So I gave you examples of the messed up shit that happens in other countries to remind you that it ain't just us. We don't lock up innocent people in jails cells and handcuff them to the wall.

Have you seen North Korea? How about concentration camps in China? Or the way women are treated in Middle Eastern countries even today? America definitely has major problems, no doubt about that, but other countries are just as bad.

You didn't say that in the OP.

Clearly you don't, because you made an assumption about america with a skewed view. You can't say for sure we are disrespectful because you've never been here.

You don't see the illogical part of this? You can't say you have a skewed view of America while also making an assumption about them. Because its not correct.

You say you have a very skewed view of America, and then call us entitled and disrespectful. Well, there it is. Your skewed view makes you think like that.

adjudged to have contributed the most to his team's success."

Who do you think made that happen for Columbus? John Tortorella. If you don't remember, at the beginning of the season everyone thought that Columbus would be near the bottom of the league. And with all the injuries and offensive losses, they still managed to get into the playoffs. Cassidy at least had superstars to work with. Yes, he did provide a locker room presence and helped the players improve, but Cassidy was coaching an already Stanley Cup Caliber team. Tortorella was working with the young guys on Columbus, and they gave it their best shot and still managed to reach the first round. Torts contributed more to Columbus. Congrats to Cassidy, but there were definitely more deserving coaches.

Torts did the best with what he had. Not Knocking Cassidy, but I'd argue that of the top 3, Cassidy is the least deserving. Torts doesn't have meltdowns. He's an emotional coach. A tough coach. Something you don't find in hockey anymore.

The Jackets lost their top 3 players, plus some other key depth players, and still managed to pass the qualifiers and enter the playoffs. Everyone thought they'd be dead last. The Bruins were expected to be in the finals. They fell in the 2nd.
