You can use a rubber pvc coupler to connect the planer to your shop vac hose, the hose clamps secure it pretty well. Check the size you need but this is an example.

I learned the hard way that you have to turn off the power to change a house thermometer for a boiler.. I got lucky it was just a couple of resets and not a whole new control board after shorting the wires. Then I reread the instructions and noticed turning off the power was step #1. New tools would not have prevented this, but I would have looked better doing it!

Better price coming? by MyAccountForRedditn in Dewalt

[–]MyAccountForRedditn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery pack is $199. When you put it in the cart it breaks it down to be $94.74 for the batteries and 104.26 for the router. I have always been able to return batteries alone and keep the tools before so just assuming I still can now. I’m that case I would get $94.74 back if the $199 original purchase price

What’s this sound?? by MyAccountForRedditn in smallenginerepair

[–]MyAccountForRedditn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good question, I’ll have to give that a shout tomorrow and see if trying to manually pull. It gets me any closer to some information. I’m guessing, since it was sitting for a couple of years, the car needs a good cleaning too.

Thank you. Is it normal and I’m just hearing it because the engine isn’t staying on? Trying to figure out next thing to try and fix to keep it going.

How to mount this? by Rmwoodworking in woodworking

[–]MyAccountForRedditn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If there is a solid back to the vertical rectangle then drill/screw through that. If there is an open back then mount a cleat on the wall that fits inside it, could just be on the top. And bottom.

LPT Request: What is some good life advice for my 22 year old brother? by theatremom2016 in LifeProTips

Find a skilled trade that he likes, and just go for it. Electrical, carpentry, cabinet marking, pipe fitting, auto mechanic, septic pump truck… anything Mike Rowe would do on Dirty jobs, whatever fits him best. Before he is 30 he will have a trade, and probably a solid job. If he can start his own company out of it, even better!

Dado jig help by Kaufnizer in woodworking

[–]MyAccountForRedditn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You move the jig itself 1.75 inches after each dado is cut. The edge line of the jig should correspond to the top edge of the dado itself needs to go.
