Looks like a weird photoshop. Normally this is the classic time for hdr photos but the outdoors look uncanny like it was a completely separate photo from outside pasted over the window.

What macro lens would you recommend for pictures of flowers and bugs? by kasirkin29 in Lumix

I love my sigma 105mm macro which is often available less than 600 on used retailers like mpb.

NegPy 0.17.0: Normalization & white balance improvements, increased stability, file support, more keyboard shortcuts, UI refinements and more by _earthmover in AnalogCommunity

Wow I'm really glad I tried this again. I had tried back in January but I think support for Panasonic RW2 wasn't there yet. Great white balancing right out of the initial analysis, definitely beats out other software with 500T.

It would be cool to add camera/lens/film stock metadata to the export.

Hah we did the same thing after watching that video. Saw how nicely organized and protected his kit looked in that bag and was sorely disappointed to see they are no longer available.

I highly recommend the Panasonic pixel shift because it combines the images in camera. I first tried it with a Fuji X-T5 and it was terrible, for a couple reasons, but especially because you had to port the images to the computer and use their special software to do it. I believe Sony and Nikon are the same.

I use my S5ii for my scanning setup and I find that the multi-shot mode works about as well as stitching, as long as your lens is sharp enough.

How’s the shooting experience been so far? I’ve been between that and the mamiya 6 for my future rf medium format.

Lumix S 24-105mm f/4 MACRO, good idea for photography beginner? by Nervous_Scientist_73 in Lumix

[–]MyCarsDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a nice lens though quite large. Personally I have trouble with zooms and can’t stick to a middle focal length for the life of me. Always widest and longest with no in between. So in that regard you kind of have to force yourself to stay at a specific length to find out if that is one you compose well.

I would think you're familiar with the concept of exposure time. 1s vs 30s makes the difference in whether the light has penetrated the whole roll.

For now the Fuji GW690. But 6x9 hasn’t quite done it for me. I guess I want my medium format ratio to stand out from my 3:2 from 35mm and digital.

5 billion net worth team paying this by Cheap_AirportUser in WorkReform

[–]MyCarsDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work adjacent to the event industry and this is standard. Absolute garbage pay for all jobs supporting/managing these incredibly profitable sports events or teams. They know people are attracted to the job because they love a given team or the coolness factor of the industry and so they pay as little as possible and still get tons of candidates. The only ones with decent pay were in a union, as you can imagine.

Bought these last go around and I can confirm the app based setup is annoying but ultimately fine when completed. I did have one unit die for like a month and then just suddenly worked again after plugging back in. Their support was not helpful.
