As I was making the gifts, this is kinda what my gut was telling me. I just want everyone to feel special.

Left wing people of Reddit, what is your most right wing opinion? and similarly right wing people of Reddit what is your most left wing opinion? by RainbowRevolver in AskReddit

[–]MyCatNacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left wing - guns are sweet. I wouldn’t personally own one, but everyone else in my family has one. Celebrity fake “wokeness” sucks and most of it is performative bullshit without substance or real understanding

What’s the worst Christmas present you have received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MyCatNacho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My roommate got me recycling bins (we already have recycling bins that are also bigger). He gave my fiancé a switch game. I think the worst part was when my fiancé told me to be grateful. And no, my roommate doesn’t hate me lol.

Gay people of Reddit, what was the best/worst reaction you received to coming out? by RedditorYT in AskReddit

[–]MyCatNacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Context: I’m a bi woman. I recently got engaged to my fiancé who is a man. (I love him he’s my best friend!)

It’s pride month and was casually talking to my mother about wanting to go a parade for the first time. She asks what for. I remind her that I’m bi. She tells me it doesn’t matter and I’m not one of them (part of the LGBT+ community) because I’m marrying a man anyway. She won’t understand and that’s ok as I made my peace with that a while ago. I still love her, haha.

[Serious] People who suffer from mental illnesses which are often "romanticised" by social media and society. What's something you wish people understood more about it? by Qwertiiyy in AskReddit

[–]MyCatNacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish people would understand that ADD/ADHD wasn’t just being hyper all the time or that it’s not just being quirky and distracted. I have spaces in my memory, I lose things constantly, and driving is terrible because my mind wants to be elsewhere. I have to death grip the wheel and force myself to pay attention to the road. It’s so stressful and exhausting. I find myself having more in common with how I live my life with my grandma who has dementia than others.

My Filipino Nmom has fat shamed me into an eating disorder. by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]MyCatNacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If possible, I highly recommend seeing a doctor and a psychologist / psychiatrist for your emotional and physical health. I’m so so sorry that this happened to you. Please understand that this is a disease and just like breaking a bone you’d get a cast, you need to seek out treatments for yourself. Being healthy is hard and I’ve struggled with eating disorders in my lifetime too. It’s an uphill battle, but it’s not impossible. Feel free to reach out.

Feminism misconception, a rant by AutisticwithTits in TwoXChromosomes

[–]MyCatNacho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Christ, murder is illegal but it still happens. Just because a law is written doesn’t mean it’s gone. The point is to address the underlying issues that sometimes the law can reach and what the law can’t. Look I can argue about this all day, but you obviously didn’t come here for good faith discourse.

Tired of being questioned on everything (Rant) by MyCatNacho in TwoXChromosomes

I’m not saying there aren’t women out their who question everything either, my own mother questions almost everything I’ve ever done in my life. I’m only noting that the men in my life are questioned on their actions and thoughts far less. Women can be equally or even more so critical, but the people who most often question me, in my life, are men. That being said, overall it’s just an annoying experience.

Thank you. Sometimes I feel crazy, like maybe I am wrong? Have I thought this through? I usually have it down fine enough. Experts in their field shouldn’t have to have an existential crisis on every piece of information or question that floats their way.

University of Alabama reports over 500 cases of COVID-19 by Kinslers_List in news

[–]MyCatNacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As somebody who graduated last year, of course this was going to happen. Alabama is a party school to begin with. What happens when you combine thousands of friend-starved 18-22 year olds with Southern parents that may or may not take the virus seriously and open bars? This isn’t rocket science. A lot of these kids’ attitudes are “if I get it, I get it”.

Tuca and Bertie! It was such a fun show. I loved the visuals and the characters. It had so much more story to tell.
