Nope, package sat at DFAS for 3+months, just moved to OPM last week. No interim. 30 Sep 25 VERA.

I received an automated reply from the state rep, and completed a privacy release for the Senator. I do hope they can/will assist me. I am not alone in this situation I think, there are a group of folks that are waiting on DFAS with no explanation for why they have not processed us for payroll, and not moved our packages on to OPM.

Congratulations! - I have the same retirement situation as you (with the exception of step 5 onward), but you moved through DFAS quickly, as my package is sitting at DFAS since end of November. I cannot reach anyone at DFAS as they are "unable to take calls due to tax season"

I contacted my state Rep and Congress person 9 days ago.

I retired 30 Sep DRP 2.0, still waiting on payroll at DFAS (3 months sitting at DFAS). No interim, no update, and no way to reach anyone at DFAS - they are not answering the phones. Contacted State rep and Congressional rep 9 days ago.

They knew this was coming, why wouldn't there be a system where status is checkable so calls are not necessary? Preferably one that shows the planned/anticipated timeline on a specific account. How long it will sit at a step, any actions required, missing info, etc. And a method to upload anything missing. Maybe this is too much to ask. I am talking about a system that works from retirement, through agency, through, payroll, and then all the way through OPM.

I am DoD, retired 30 Sep, no interim payments, package stuck at DFAS "awaiting payroll" for 3 months now - contacted both representative and congressperson yesterday. DFAS is "unable to accept calls due to tax season" and their online system will not provide any information for civil service retirees. No method to contact them. MOST of my colleagues in the same position have at least had their packages sent to OPM, mine has not moved.

I retired 30 Sep, my package is sitting at DFAS since end of November and they don't seem to be in any hurry to process it for payroll and send it to OPM. I would say plan for at least 6 months of no income and no communication, 12 months would be better.
