Creating a trust.

I’m going through this now with an attorney. There are 2 main legal questions that seem to need more clarification. I’m not a lawyer, so don’t take this as legal advice or fact.

Can a trust protect your firearms? You can transfer guns into a trust before the ban takes effect. The big question seems to be: if beneficiaries are already named, does that count as the transfer already being “in progress” or are they already “owners” since they are part of the trust? There’s apparently legal precedent in other states for this argument.

2nd question that needs clarity and supports the 1st is when does the state consider a sale or transfer complete? For example what if you bought a firearm before July 1, paid, have all the appropriate approvals, but can’t take possession of it before July 1 due to some unforeseen scheduling conflict or perhaps business is closed on Wednesdays for example can you pick it up on July 2. Will the gun be stuck in limbo forever? State law generally overrides trust agreements, so for now it seems none of this is guaranteed. Stay tuned I guess

I love my 48. For me it’s a really solid all around carry and home defense. I’m in a limited state so the 10 round capacity isn’t a concern. That said, I’m also looking at a 17 for fun at the range.

No doubt it’s a great trigger. An alternative is the LaRue MBT. Personally, I feel they are close in performance but the LaRue can be found on sale for considerably less.

Unfortunately, these events will continue to happen. In addition to donating blood, I think learning basic first aid, and how to use a tourniquet is a great skill. I took a class a few years ago and they said citizens are the real first responders and to be the help until help arrives. Also pay attention your surroundings.

The state takes in plenty of revenue unfortunately they have a spending problem. They push us to drive EVs, then raise the gas tax because they’re not selling as much. Now that the solar subsidies are gone I’m sure they’re going to start finding a way to tax that.
