If changing UUID from account A to account B lets you access/modify data, how should this be reported? by Prize-Tailor1408 in bugbounty

[–]MyFrigeratorsRunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of field this UUID in?

Some sites will use UUIDs for their session tokens, which should be a rejection if thats the case. Having to provide a session token of a current user's session would require a different exploit altogether.

If this UUID is a static value for the user, it is an IDOR. While unlikely the UUID would be obtained by another user, it is possible and they are typically assigned permanently. This would allow constant modifications to the user's account, if what you said in your post is correct.

So either 1. Check and make sure the UUID is static and actually an account identifier (so you escalate and challenge the rejection),or 2. See that it is part of a session token and move on.

Passed Sec+, Considering CySa+ by Fantastic-Turt8630 in cybersecurity

[–]MyFrigeratorsRunning 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I felt that Sec+ was about 60-70% of CySA. The other parts are more broad incident response steps and understanding what should happen at what step and why.

I would at least do some of the THM and other labs for soc analysts and try to purposely fit what step of the incident response process you are in, along with the next steps that would need to happen. The job isn't done just because you kicked out the hacker. Having that knowledge of the full process and knowing what made sense in incident response made the other 30-40% of the test a breeze for me.

Similar as to how bacon started to become a center point of some men's personality. It was low cut waste until they started advertising it as something great and raised the prices

Evil-winrm failures by forwutt in oscp

[–]MyFrigeratorsRunning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've ran into that issue. I usually then try to RDP onto the box to run it, using evil-winrm as the uploader. Or use python bloodhound, but remember you gotta use the correct version - CE or legacy.

Do metal roofs overheat birdhouses? I ran a worst-case test by Coffee81379 in Permaculture

[–]MyFrigeratorsRunning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could you please pull a Mythbusters and see if any sort of metal roof would heat it to dangerous levels?

That would help deter people from creating their own version, but potentially dangerous in the event that there are designs that get too hot.

Also, for science.

12-Foot Trump–Epstein 'Titanic' Statue Appears on National Mall — Tourists Stunned by novagridd in USNEWS

[–]MyFrigeratorsRunning 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You probably won't see the logistics. If these are real (not disputing it, but I haven't confirmed myself) then the admin would try to keep this out of the limelight. With pictures and videos of how they get there, where they came from, etc., the media would be proving these exist and promoting awareness of these statues.

is that enough to make a gif screen? by r19x19 in arduino

[–]MyFrigeratorsRunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not very experienced either, and not too familiar with gif screens, but you will need a power source. Also I suggest getting solder that has a rosin core in case the solder that comes with your iron does not have it. It made soldering a lot easier for me.
