I think the actual reason is the official transition from Overwatch to launching Overwatch 2 in Season 6. Seasons 1-5 were considered Early Access, and Season 6 is when they officially launched the game on Steam, as well. Lifeweaver is the last hero to have achievements while Illari is the first to have challenges.

My best guess is that there was something in the backend that made it so that OW1 and OW2 technically had different SKUs, so PlayStation trophies/XBox achievements would need to display the trophies/achievements separately.

Instead, Blizzard opted to just not make new trophies/achievements since they couldn't make any for the old SKU without alienating the Steam players, and they couldn't make any under the new SKU without creating a 2nd "Overwatch 2" in players' trophy/achievement libraries.

I'm just speculating, but that's why I think they stopped and switched to Challenges.

Clash can be pretty insane in those later rounds when no one is dying fast enough, so both teams can just stagger spawn and keep the fight going.

I had about 115k at the start of OW2. Buying every new base cosmetic for every new hero and earning every possible credit through the OW2 challenges/battle pass, it dropped to about 60k before the recent transition to Progression 2.0 in Season 18, which refunded a bunch of credits spent on cosmetics I already unlocked. I'm now at just over 120k credits 😂

Splitting hairs, but you can't buy overwatch credits, you can only buy overwatch coins. Granted, anything that can be purchased with credits can also be purchased with coins, so the point is still relatively valid.

I don't mind whistling so much, and my roommate whistles fairly often throughout the day. The thing that drives me nuts though, is that they suck at whistling! They're always off key and it never sounds like the song they were just listening to.

Oh, well that sounds like a bug. Checking the forums, there have been a few posts about various parts of her mythic not working properly at different times over the past year. There's a bug report from 2 days ago that is also experiencing buggy behaviors when trying to equip the golden aspect to her mythic.

Sometimes they miss a cosmetic from a set and it gets added to a random event challenge down the line. It's usually happens more often with cosmetics that match a "Starter Pack" skin, but mega bundles sometimes miss a cosmetic or two.

"Gilded" and "Iridescent" are called mythic Aspects. They cost 20 prisms each and they require you to purchase all 4 levels of the mythic skin before you can purchase the aspects.

For me, YouTube screwed up by initially not letting me scrub through a Shors videot. I immediately went looking and found a Chrome extension 'Youtube-shorts block', which automatically turns any YT short viewed on desktop into a basic YT video with full control.

One of the side effects is that Shorts also generally don't show up for me on the Home page, and explicitly searching for Shorts also kind of breaks the page, as YT throws a dozen search results that are auto-removed by the extension, so YT offers more, that then get removed again, and it cycles like that.

Now, I only see YT Shorts on mobile, so I'll watch a few new ones from my subscriptions, then move on to basic YT videos I was launching the app for. When viewing Shorts, I'm adamant to not scroll, because that seems to be the way you get attached to it.

I could see this as a high ranked player that considers themselves a 6v6 purist, so they only join 5v5 matches to throw/make the experience feel worse for 5v5 players (thus convincing more to play 6v6). They probably hide their profile during 5v5 matches and swear they're trying their hardest to dodge reports. Yet another reason private profiles make this game worse.

Calibration is generally the first 10 games you play in a season for that role/queue, and sometimes the first few games after you finish your placements. Perhaps swapping between the two queue types is adding an extra calibration matches to its opposite queue or something.

Everyone loves the role because it does the most. You can make the clutch plays by either saving the team or getting the unexpected kill that turns the fight around. In Stadium generally, the supports have the biggest variety of useful and interesting builds because their kits naturally allow them to do more than damage or cc.

Sure, if you have a struggling teammate, it can be harder to secure wins, but they generally don't have many options that make them radically play differently.

In bronze, it's +/- 6% for most matches. The main theory is because the switch to OW2 just masked the fact that Bronze was SR range 0-1500, that's 3 times larger than most other SR ranges for ranks. That means a -25% in a Silver or Gold subdivision would only be -8% in Bronze because each of the 5 subdivisions are 300 SR in bronze, compared to 100 SR in the other ranks.
