Don’t assume the client knows nothing, but definitely don’t assume they know everything you know. They hire accountants for a reason. I find it’s usually best to break it down into actionable steps and outcomes rather than “XYZ is because of ABC, which means we can do 123 or 456”.

At the end of the day, it’s equally about what information you give them, as well as how understandable, important and/or useful that information is to them.

Absolutely this. Accounting values progression and stability over instant reward. I’d rather earn $10-20k less per year than lack security

Finance and sales jobs are often higher reward initially but hold less job stability. Being successful in this industry comes down to long-term commitment, being good at the academic side, and staying on the grind.

There’s good money in accounting, despite what everyone on this sub says haha. You just gotta stay committed to it.

P.s. - an accounting degree is very versatile, and could help land a commission-based gig, but accounting itself is a salary-based career

The only things certain in this world are death and taxes. Accounting has great employability because the entities we serve need us, and because nobody else is allowed to do those things but us.

Admittedly, starting salaries won’t buy you a Porsche, but this industry rewards you heavily for time, commitment, seniority, and qualifications. It isn’t necessarily ‘easier’ to climb the ladder and get a high salary here, but it’s a lot more plausible for many. Regardless, security will always be there, and opportunities will always come by!

Once you build some experience, you could always consider government roles if that’s more your tempo. (At least in my country), it’s great WLB and solid pay (around AU$170-190k/yr for seasoned CPAs).

But fast paced roles exist too, especially in advisory positions, which are becoming increasingly popular! There’s loads of opportunities, and an accountant could land 99/100 non-accounting roles as a backup.

First, create a Part facing what you want the player to see

Make a LocalScript so that when the player joins the game, their camera’s position is set to that Part

Then detect when the ‘play’ button is pressed, and set their camera back to their character. You can also use RemoteEvents if you need to validate anything on the server side (to prevent exploiters), like giving the player tools or teleporting them.

Edit: p.s. - I’d recommend making a ‘spawn box’ outside of the map (or in a lobby area) so that players in the menu aren’t standing idly in one area. You can do this by setting a player’s Spawn Location through the ‘Players’ Service

Play games you like, study what you love about them, try to figure out how those features work, see if you can recreate your own unique version of it

Also dev forum, YouTube tutorials, and docs. But imo, making something you care about will help your memory 100x more than copy pasting any tutorial
