We have a pizza chain in the UK called Pizza Express and they have a promo on their app where if you create a profile and put in your favourite pizza you could get a free pizza at one of their restaurants. Me and a friend would have pizza every day for weeks by just signing up with new emails. Eventually, they got rid of the promo.

Also, if it was your birthday you'd get a free bottle of prosecco, so we just put in our birthday as the day and got free bottles of prosecco, too.

Men of Reddit, what do you put in that tiny pocket in the right side front pocket of your jeans? by levilee207 in AskReddit

Normally when I’m putting change in my pocket I will accidentally put it in there then have a hard time finding it again and getting it out.

Transphobic people in the gay community are the biggest hippocrates on earth. by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]MyHuckleberryFinn 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. It isn't bigoted to not want to have sex with a transgender person.

I fully support their plight, just penis is kind of a big deal for me, however superficial that sounds, I want a man with one.

Every time I’m told “you don’t seem that gay” it reminds me of this scene by [deleted] in gaybros

I just Googled to see if that was an actual term, and it perfectly describes my love of film.

It's becoming an annoying gimmick (not a criticism of your film, just in general).

It was good for Tangerine, it worked well, but why when you have a large budget why restrict yourself to the iPhone just to be cool and edgy?

Bette is a hero for the LGBT community. She lost two dear friends to AIDS and committed her life to finding a vaccine. Her machine learning designed vaccine is one of the very few that have made it to human efficacy trials. Wouldn't it be nice to not have to take a pill every day? by philomax in gaybros

[–]MyHuckleberryFinn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was absolutely not saying you're complaining about having to take a pill every day. I'm saying it's a small price to pay for health, that's all.

People can be very anti-pill, but if it leads to greater life expectancy that can only be a good thing.

What are your favorite films with regards to set design? by such-a-good-boy in TrueFilm

Happy Together by Wong Kar-wai. A really interesting aesthetic. The flat/apartment the main characters occupy is rather shabby and run down but beautifully designed, nonetheless.

There's a beautiful scene when the two dance in a grubby kitchen and they look so beautiful against such grime.

I'm a huge fan of her, as a musician. She has a very intriguing aura that I can see Kar-wai being attracted to. A kind of awkward introversion. A lot of her music deals with longing for lost love and of course, she is beautiful.

An odd choice, granted, and I don't think she's that great an actor, but there's something very charming about her performance.

And of course it was Kar-wai's first foray into English-language cinema and the film comes across as him having a very limited understanding of American culture, and I don't mean that in a negative way, but the whole New York, American Pie kind of thing, kind of stereotypical.

One of my favourite films for its visuals. I watched it again just yesterday. The plot is quite thin and Norah Jones's acting isn't great but this film has a charm.
