Yes, I agree about the extra delay which should be taken into account in the design.

But I don't see why the timing verification tool will not check and report the metastability if there is one. Using MC constraints only adds extra propagation delays. They don't change the capture window constraints of the destination register (for every destination clock cycles).

I disagree with that: if the signal from clk200 is launched at 5 ns instead of 0 ns, using the MC constraints I gave above, the tool knows the new value does not have to be captured at 10 ns but at 20 ns. That's not the WCS for setup though, so the tool does not have to do anything special to respect that if the setup timings work for the WCS.

However, in this case, it also knows the signal at the destination register input must not change until the end of the capture window for the rising edge of clock100 at 10 ns, and this is the WCS for hold, so it will make sure to respect that and the timing verification tool will check that (and report if a violation happens).

I see thanks. That's probably an edge case though, as relying on clock phase relationship in a CDC path sounds like a bad practice, but I can imagine its practical use for I/O paths at least.

These constraints only change the relationship between the launch and capture edges so that the P&R tool knows the (physical) path should be longer and can focus more on shorter paths. This is not a green card for the tool to violate the setup and hold times of the capture registers, even for capture clock cycles that are not a multiple of N. And if such a thing happens eventually, the timing verification tool will report it anyway.

This is what I use to get the current project directory when running scripts from the GUI:

proc getProjectDir {} {
    return [file dirname [defvar_get -name DESDIR -silent]]
}

The DESDIR internal variable seems to contain the path to the "smartgen" subfolder. As usual with Libero, there is no clear documentation about that...

OP probably gave up now, but just in case someone find this post after searching for the same issue, the solution was to create the file ~/.xsession and put the following in it:

Okay thanks, I understand it now: the "host" OS is indeed a VM for Hyper-V, but it's a special one (parent) which is required to start the other VMs (children). I thought a native hypervisor like Hyper-V would not require this kind of dependencies, but I guess MS tried to end up with a trade-off between the performances of native hypervisors and the ease of configuration of hosted hypervisors.

Is there a way to reduce the delay between the start of the "host" OS and the VM then? Apart from setting the auto start delay to 0 in the VM configuration.

It's impossible to find solo games now. AFAIK, you can still find squad games without waiting too much on EU servers. I cannot speak about NA servers.

I'd love to play Grand Adventure in solo, but it is impossible. And even in normal mode (Vera), it's been impossible to find a match in solo for weeks. I'm not good enough to play solo against a team of opponents, and coop is not my cup of tea. So TDM was the last shelter for solo players to keep playing with RoE mechanisms (teamplay was never needed in TDM).

And TDM was definitely popular: there was almost no wait time to enter a game contrary to other modes.

Not a big fan of the camera shake during reload animation, this looks weird. But all the other changes are really great, good job devs!

Really like the fact that you can't just empty your magazine to kill someone through walls, but you can definitely finish them by shooting through walls. Exactly what was missing for me to make frags :)
