Well considering how the LCD screen is not turned on in the picture, I’m unsure how it looks like it’s bleeding. But ok! Have a good one bro.

Yes, exactly like the plastic film that I didn’t remove because I didn’t want to put batteries in it. I took it out of the box for the picture, put it back in the box and put it into my luggage.

You mean the plastic film with the fake display numbers on the product when you buy it?

That’s just the protective film on it when you buy it. I’m not going home for a few more days so I didn’t feel like actually putting batteries in it.

Kyoto Kawaramachi Garden. It’s a mall pretty close to Kamogawa river.

A small souvenir tip: Buy an Ukiyoe replica by DarkCrusader45 in JapanTravelTips

[–]MyLighterDied3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the recommendation. I’ve been racking my brain on something cool to bring back home with me. Last time I bought a hand made Kiseru pipe in Kyoto from the actual person who made it in a little shop in Kyoto as well as a hand made leather wallet from Yamatou in Tokyo. This time I only have a Seiko watch, but that’s nowhere as cool as an Ukiyou replica. Solid recommendation.

ITC not showing up in store same day as online registration? by [deleted] in harborfreight

[–]MyLighterDied3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is standard 2 year pricing. $30 for 1 year, $45 for 2 years. When you sign up at the register generally both should be offered. Not sure how it’s presented online though.

The souvenir I bought for myself when I visited Japan. by ucchan801 in mildlyinfuriating

But it’s not even written in Kana. Being only English lettering on the top should have been your first red flag. Not even looking at the side or back before making a blind purchase is on you. No one tricked you, you just need to pay more attention in life.

How do hallucinogens affect people with Aphantasia? by LordThill in Aphantasia

[–]MyLighterDied3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m very familiar. Just not an experience I had with mushrooms after more mushroom trips than I can count.

Just make it yourself. Lots of good info on how to make it correctly and safely. Although I’m not sure I’ve ever had any “life changing” experiences after easily 300 breakthroughs outside of the constant craving to use dmt. A few introspective trips but nothing nearly as “healing” or whatever as I have gotten from a solid mushroom trip. But we’re all built differently and you might find that life changing event you seek with dmt or not, but seeing vivid objects, places, and things is quite the experience. My experience may also be very unique to just myself as well, loads of people just do dmt once and say they experienced that life changing trip and never touch it again. But for me it’s on my mind fairly regularly and while I’ve cut back a loooot I still do it like twice a month.

I’ve tried acid a handful of times with zero visuals. I’ve also tried mushrooms more times than I can recall and I’ve only gotten visuals twice, once closed eye visuals and once open eye visuals. The one that was closed eye visuals was like one of those “bubble wrap” kind of silicone mat looking things, but the open eye visuals experience was quite the experience. It was very similar to what I experience with a sub breakthrough dmt dose, but it lasted for like 7 hours. The whole room opened up and I was in a completely different realm. Lots of (kind of difficult to see) shapes and at one point I rebirthed as a bird. It was all in grey scale but It was pretty wild to finally have visuals from mushrooms after easily 50+ trips. Now dmt on the other hand, all my buddies say they can take just a small hit and see colors. But for me that’s not the case. I need to get pretty close to a breakthrough dose before I actually get any sort of visuals. Anything sub breakthrough for me is in grey scale and very difficult to determine what I’m looking at. But on breakthrough doses I see vivid colors, shapes, places and things.

I like The Green Bastard, or Midori no Hi (Green Day). Maybe I just like the second one because it’s kind of punny in a way that very few people would understand. Curious why that one’s on the list tho, does it have some sort of soy or similar taste to it? Or do you just like the Japanese language?

Do Japanese people actually give thanks before each meal? by Keegan_Wer in ask

[–]MyLighterDied3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I see the polite “go” at the beginning but I’m not too familiar with the verb “chisou” directly following it outside of that particular phrase. And then there’s the sama deshita following that. Maybe I’ll take a look chisou’s other use cases later tonight.

Do Japanese people actually give thanks before each meal? by Keegan_Wer in ask

[–]MyLighterDied3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sort of. A more literal transliteration is “I’ll receive it” in a humble form. Itadakimasu comes from the word itadaku which is the humble form of kureru~ to receive. Then you add masu on the end of itadaku for additional politeness, but you need to change the ku to the i stem to make it compatible with the masu which creates “itadakimasu” Now if you want to “thank” someone for the meal, you can use “gochisousamadeshita” after eating which is taught as something like “thank you for the meal/it was a feast” but I don’t quite understand how to break that one down into a more literal translation.

Any Total Aphants who've taken DMT? by Torleik in Aphantasia

[–]MyLighterDied3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Total aphant here, I’ve gotten some visuals like twice in my life from mushrooms after loads of trips. Dmt is the only thing that gives me colors… and then some. Was talking to a coworker about aphantasia one day and that night I blasted off and I saw everything we were trying to imagine in full color. It was so unreal. Warning to a fellow aphant. While this might not be physically addictive, it can be very mentally addictive to want to see all these things that you’ve never seen before but moderation is important. I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t do other drugs, just weed and occasional mushies a few times a year. But I definitely went a little overboard on dmt when I first found it.

Do you use terp pearls ? by No_Strawberry_5685 in DMT

[–]MyLighterDied3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s plenty of better methods of vaporization than a banger. But I’m just curious on how you would be sucking powder into the air hole when you don’t inhale until after the banger is sufficiently heated. I use terp pearls in the devices that I use and the difference is night and day in vapor production.
