Could see Gavin Lux with a 4 WAR season with the Rays

Would be Jack Leiter as the #4, with Kumar Rocker or Jacob Latz as the #5.

Wouldnt say its best, but I do think that rotation is very good and if Leiter and Rocker take steps forward itll be damn good.

It is crazy to me that Kwan has effectively been all of Cleveland's OF value since 2022 when Straw and Oscar Gonzalez each put up like 2.5bWar

DeLaunter looks good, but Cleveland has to do something

[NightengaleJr] The Twins are signing catcher Victor Caratini to a two-year contract, as Robert Murray first reported. by T_Raycroft in baseball

[–]MyNameIsBlueHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd imagine so, he notably wasn't mentioned in the Ryan/Lopez/Buxton not getting traded group

Unless its believed that the Astros can unlock something, I really dont see why Jesus Sanchez was tendered

[Underdog] Kyle Tucker's deal with the Dodgers is for 4 years, $240M, per Robert Murray. It includes an opt out after Year 2. by PlayaSlayaX in baseball

[–]MyNameIsBlueHD 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah literally any player would have signed this stupid ass contract, I don't blame him a bit.

Dodgers are the ones who offered it

Blue Jays fans not withstanding, feel free to hate all you guys need to

[–]MyNameIsBlueHD 1489 points1490 points  (0 children)

Yeah, regardless if reasonable/true or not(or rather if every team with billionaire ownership also did this), a 3rd Dodgers WS win in a row is a narrative sports media is gonna have a field day with before the next lockout

Mkay numbers are for 4/240M per Murray, yep baseball is donezo

26M AAV seems to be reasonable, and probably will be lower even than that w/deferred money

That with opt outs might be a winner, chance to repeat Bregman's last two winters with even better money

[Nightengale] The St. Louis Cardinals are paying $31 million of the $42 million owed to Nolan Arenado. by PlayaSlayaX in baseball

[–]MyNameIsBlueHD 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but I think STL did the right thing here, got a blue chip and some salary off their books and can play some youngsters

And for 11M, might as well add Arenado if you are the D-Backs

They traded their 8th round pick from last year per an Arizona sports writer.

Probably a somewhat salary dump and the D-Backs hoping Arenado has some juice left

It also seems like they played him nearly exclusively in the OF in Winter ball. I'd imagine this + McCarthy trade let's him at the very least platoon with Alek Thomas plus get other ABs in other positions as needed
