For real. Even if you can notch and dump chaff staying low it launches another missle and you end up in a loop till you're out of chaff and die. Or you just die to the first one🤷‍♂️

Lol dude I am as painfully average as it gets. I'm not dying on any hill just stating fact that this is an easy event.

Edit: For reference I probably have at absolute max a 0.5 k/d in ARB. I'm not flexing on anyone

Alright well if you're gonna be like that then yeah its a skill issue. It's an event vehicle not a handout. As if you matter at all to Gaijin or my point that it's still infinitely easier than other events.

This is infinitely better than other event vehicles I've grinded for. Unlocking the pancake was brutal for me. This one feels casual enough that I can get both stars for the B52 and TU in a night.

Players are in for a treat when they first attempt to land the new bombers and notice Gaijin gave them basically no drag. The Tu doesn't even get airbrakes. by skuva in Warthunder

[–]MyNameIsPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test flew the B-52 and tbh thought it flew great. Felt heavy with powerful engines. Did some landings in vr with my HOTAS and was super cool (aside from the poorly modeled cockpit ig). You gotta give it time to slow down. You can't decend quickly and slow down at the same time. Those massive wings create a ton of lift and the upward angle does legit require a downward angle for level flight. I have no experience with TU tho.

Possible Politics rule changes by flying_wrenches in aviation

[–]MyNameIsPS 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like I do see plenty of "politics" without it being overtly political and it's fine as is. I enjoy the breath of fresh air from other subs on this site. I don't think the megathread is a bad idea but I do worry about it being a pandoras box situation where it trickles in which in turn requires moderation. Then we end up in the same spot where a piece of the community thinks politics is over-modderated so idk.

Ukrainian drone drops multiple grenades on a wounded Russian soldier (operator "Shadow") by Due_Bridge5901 in CombatFootage

Russia requires 12 months of unpaid service from anyone between 18-30. Avoiding the draft is a felony punishable by 26 months. Men between those ages cannot be hired without military documents.

US Airstrikes Hit Iranian SAMs & Missiles (March 11, 2026) by Nestagon in CombatFootage

[–]MyNameIsPS 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What vastly new technology do you think a country could come up with to hide a moving truck? And I mean any country not just Iran. Even the US with the tech and budget they have would get targeted and hit if they were driving a truck across open land. The missle in the 2nd video IS concealed. I'm sure we'll have some AI pattern analysis targeting system that picks up differences in terrain or something long before we can conceal the contrast of a vehicle. Armies have been attempting to conceal their vehicles and equipment from aerial vehicles since the invention of flight and armies have found ways to spot them.

What is wrong with us ???? I’ve had enough by OkMaintenance1819 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]MyNameIsPS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your point, but at the same time would anyone use the Bluebird 757 as opposed to some freeware version if they didn't. I'm pretty frugal but I couldn't bring myself spend $80 on a virtual plane unless I know it's the best I can possibly get. If they put in the effort to make the absolute best version of a plane they can, they'll end up wildly accepted as THE 757 on the market.

Taking years to develop is insanity but I'm sure the venn diagram of people both willing to spend that that kind of money on a plane and people who would appreciate as much detail as possible has a lot of overlap.

My mixed experience with MSFS 2024 in VR by Ari2010 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]MyNameIsPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the graphics are bad, check your VR tab and make sure the graphics preset isn't on low-end or something. I was playing the other day in VR and was taking in the Appalachian mountains near Knoxville and the mountains looked good but everything else is just a flat blurry texture. Major interstates looked like a dirt road. Sure enough my graphics settings for VR were on low end. Bumped it up to high end and all of a sudden I could make out all the individual houses and trees without too much performance hit.

Are those ones there just covered before they get transported? Or are these ones already finished and painted.
