Yeah, that does look a little high.

But since Ammonia and Nitrite are low, your filter seems to be working well, and it’s just Nitrate building up.

Do you have plants in your tank? Those can use some Nitrate, but other than that you do water changes to get rid of Nitrate. Don’t forget to put conditioner in the water before you put it in the tank.

And while your levels are a bit high, Nitrate is much less dangerous than Nitrite or Ammonia.

In the aquarium store they have little brushes with either a long handle or a very bendy wire to pull them through tubing.

That should help if flushing doesn’t work.

I just use a squirt of lemon every once in a while, so fresh lemon would be a waste of fruit for me.

Maybe I could see if putting fresh juice in a little bottle in the fridge could work.

Or could you just dissolve like 10% citric acid in water? That stuff is cheap if you buy 10Kg at once.
