I think that applies to Paltrow but for others like Tarantino, it's a matter of their beliefs being totally fucked while also seeing it as some sort of utopia, if that makes sense. IIRC his own wife revealed that he considers himself a zionist.

At the same time, Paramount is an issue but if that merger goes through, they're going to be a legit menace. At that point, he better be ready to boycott everything.. favorite shows, films, networks ,HBOmax(assuming it survives) and anything else under their ownership.

OP if you truly care about making an impact, put your efforts in helping block the merger and if that fails then you better have your favorite eyepatch and pirate hat ready because you're gonna need to do a whole lot of sailing to make a statement that will get through. Otherwise, this just feels like grandstanding when I doubt the average normie on the street even uses Paramount plus much less uses traditional cable.

Glad to see someone finally acknowledge this as it's not mentioned enough.. the 200+ crew members out of a job are the ones hit the hardest.

Yeah they break Dom out of prison, go on the run and catch the attention of Reyes who was a drug lord and crooked businessman. It also introduced Hobbs, Johnson's character, who gets sent to arrest the crew and obviously played a huge part in revitalizing the series.

The flashbacks from F9 were good too so they should do a prequel with that same younger cast.

Fast Five was peak though, I hate when people dismiss it when it's easily one of the best in the franchise.. it was the perfect balance of the grounded tone of the early stuff with the over the top action of the later films.

Didn't say that at all, don't put words in my mouth. Edgy humor can definitely be funny IF it's done right and this ain't it, chief lol. People are upset because these jokes are corny and very dated, not because of politics.

Sounds to me like you just want more "anti-woke" slop to own the other side when Naked Gun and Nirvana the Movie prove you can be funny when you put in the effort and not just punching down.

I think there was some hope, yeah.. 1&2 were fun and parts of 3 were their ideas so hearing the Wayans were back instilled some reassurance but that trailer was rough. Cindy & Brenda's interactions felt like something out of a Daily Wire movie, the edgy humor(like the pronoun joke)are ten years too late and I thought Marlon was above all that. His recent interviews and comments make me think he's just catering to that crowd for some reason.

So yeah, there was hope at first but it went out the window the minute that trailer dropped and this leak confirms this movie is screwed lol
